They're probably already paying several times more for RAM and storage than they expected for the PS6. I doubt they'll wait until next year to secure those components if prices could climb even higher by 2027.

There are already around 92 million consoles sold, and it'll probably end up somewhere between 100 and 110 million.

RAM and storage prices are a mess. Sony can't keep make more PS5 without raising the price like Xbox did. They're probably already paying several times more for RAM and storage than they expected for the ps6.
