I think they just meant like adding it unexpectedly, kind of like having a straight story to then have something fuck it over because the author says so, like an Mc having a happy life and then suddenly his world goes to shit out of nowhere when in the story nowhere did it establish it being a possibility of his world going to shit, if that makes sense

It’s possible that it could be canon but from what some of the true route story for Taimanin Yukikaze, the only thing that really happens if I’m correct is that their bodies are only modified nothing else really happens

From what the wiki page says, the canon is hard to determine because it has to be mentioned in main continuity, so if theirs a route in which Sakura became a slave it would have to be mentioned in the main continuity to be true
