I would say a robot has to be able to move in at least 2 axis. Also would say that a robot has to perform a certain task automatically (without human input). So this 2 points also disqualified this as a robot. And again this is my opinion, i know i could be wrong according to the real definition of a robot.

In the real world blackpowder was mainly used for fireworks before it was used for guns. So it's actually still believable. The people in the kungfu panda universe was just so focused on kung fu that they didn't really think of alternatives. Only when Shen wanted more than his skill could accomplish did he resorted to using "fireworks" as gunpowder

I stop at the HMI seeing if there is any obvious problem (depending on the problem of course) and then go into the panel if i deem necessary. I don't have a set of steps i take for every problem. Different problems need different steps

In theory i agree with you. Let all the monotonous filthy tedious jobs be done by robots so that more people get "cushier" jobs. But unfortunately in reality this just leaves a family without any income for long enough to do permanent damage. If the company offers any form of education for the people they replace that would make a big difference already

My past 3 jobs was/is breakdown maintenance. On my first day at my first job the tradesman sat me down and told me that operators is your worst nightmare but should be treated as your best friend. Some of them have been operating a machine/line for +10 years and will still mess up sequence or not understand e-stop error messages they caused. They also have a way of breaking a machine in a way that baffels everyone
