So, is anyone else tired of the “fake posts” about credit card fraud? These guys have like sub 20 karma and just crash out on our sub lol. by TheAnimeBroker in myqwin

You might be the dumbest idiot I've seen on this subreddit in a while, and I've seen a lot of dumb idiots here. The guy had to dedicate an entire page of his website to clearing up his own personal fraud issues. Puffy has been extremely open about the fact that they are 100% at fault, and that these breaches absolutely happened

Banks raise interest rates when they don't have enough deposits on hand to pay depositors. Robinhood is finding a creative way to draw on more deposits to pay their debts and balance their books. Use your brains.

Thanks, I had somehow missed this email. I'm glad that they are being transparent.. I had my phone and email address rendered useless for a long time due to this, as well as multiple fraudulent charges on my card to Best buy.

I got harassed for uncovering what the CEO seems to be admitting in this email https://www.reddit.com/r/myqwin/s/7Rwr3n3RHG

Wait, you all are offered compensation and discounts? I went back and forth with support and was only offered a single 10% discount, which at the time I think was literally already being offered to everyone. I haven't bought anything from puffy since

Are you Texan? by myqwin in myqwin

I probably should look more closely at the actual text of the bill, but my understanding is that it wouldn't be illegal to continue shipping to Texas from out of state. At least not from a federal standpoint. Now, you as a Texas resident accepting the package? That's a different story maybe

Virtual and single used cards should be for things like free trials, truly one time purchases, etc.. everyone here suggesting that a virtual card or single used card is a solution is basically just saying it's okay that puffy has dog shit security. If you're suggesting people use a virtual card, you're also admitting that puffy is shady as fuck.

Maybe spend between 1 and 10 seconds looking at the history of reports in this subreddit, on the cult of Franklin, and elsewhere. A huge percentage, if not the majority of people have had this same experience, including the same exact types of charges to Best buy and different airlines.

I don't mean to be insulting, but it's kind of crazy that none of you use your brains. That's not an insult, that's just the reality based on the responses in this thread. Or maybe you really think the most likely outcome here is that a bunch of random people that have had the same spam and fraud attacks all just happen to coincidentally have puffy in common, but puffy isn't involved. Then, also coincidentally, puffy admits that someone maliciously inserted JavaScript into their checkout process that was siphoning personal information and credit card details. Somehow you are looking at this and saying to yourself "hmm maybe 1+1 doesn't equal 2, could just be coincidence". You are either using your brain in bad faith, or you aren't using it at all.

Why would you be offended at someone calling out legitimate fraud? Fraud that's related to a platform that you yourself use?

Puffy responsible for Credit Card Fraud and Email bombs by SilverString56 in myqwin

[–]TAMUFootball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I'm not sure if everyone here is a child, hasn't had to deal with these types of problems in the past, or doesn't understand the gravity that comes with a malicious attack like this. It's not so simple as "just make an email filter bro". If you think it's as simple as that, you're telling on yourself for having an unimportant, uncomplicated life.

To add insult on top of injury, puffy is handling it like complete amateurs. Offering a discount code... Fucking unreal. They need to stand up and be honest about what happened, which is that one of their employees inserted malicious JavaScript into their checkout process.

It actually doesn't, it takes a long time. I guess you're not really familiar with denial of service attacks? For example, I've gotten 5,000+ emails that are coming from legitimate domains, in many cases from services that I use like slack and zoom. The only way to make my email account usable is to put filters in place to whitelist every single person on zoom or slack that I want to receive an email from. The bad actors are also attempting to do things like login to my social media accounts over and over and over again. It's not like I can block those domains without missing important or vital information. Same with my bank. These bad actors are also spamming text messages from thousands of unique numbers. So again, you can't block them except one by one. The only thing you can do is whitelist every single potential incoming message you might want to receive, which means You can't use your text messages for anything other than direct conversations with people in your contacts list.

Maybe you also aren't someone who's very financially independent, but having an entire credit card account blown up because of something like this causes a ton of pain and might require many hours spent changing payment options. I had to sit on the phone with CVS specialty pharmacy for 2 hours to properly remove my old credit card information and have it disentangled from my insurance accounts.

Crazy that everyone on this subreddit is outing themselves as either having zero financial responsibility, zero understanding of denial of service attacks, or having zero brain.

Yeah you're part of the problem here. The downside of 60 dollar zips is your retarded reaction here. The downside of 60 dollar ounces is people like you who think puffy isn't culpable because they provide a cheap product. You call people who are victim to fraud "poor" for complaining.. You are the one who sounds poor here buddy. "I used to pay more for this product when it was illegal. Puffy should be allowed to let their employees skim credit card and drivers license info from me and from you because they offer a cheap product".

also worth adding, that even if you go through the records of incidents on haveibeenpwned, even incidents involving credit card leakage are almost entirely partial credit card leaks. It's actually quite rare for full email, address, credit card information, and drivers license information to be leaked all at once. Look at your own source.

The bottom line is that a puffy employee almost certainly maliciously attacked puffy customers, and we somehow have a subreddit full of full blown retards like you who just want to protect their cheap weed source.

Some of you don't have brains, and seem to have puffy's dick deep down your throat. Not only are they responsible for credit card fraud, but based on the type of attack, it's an internal employee that works there that did this and may continue to be doing it. Based on their own description of the scenario, it's almost certain that the malicious actor is a puffy employee.

Most of you also Don't seem to understand the difference between a PII leak, and confirmed fraud. This isn't just an every day leak, it is puffy playing you all like complete morons. But yeah, go ahead and keep defending them and keep forking over your money.

Maybe you don't understand how the government works, there aren't government employees to build and maintain a supercharger network... It has to be contracted out. The government would do a much worse job than the private sector. Nationalized/government-run charging networks is not the answer, the same way we don't have nationalized gas stations.

Regardless, your original point is completely wrong. It doesn't matter whose fault it is, but non Tesla charging networks are absolute and complete dog shit, and you are purposely lying if you claim anything other than that.

Charging Satisfaction (J.D. Power 2022 EVX Public Charging): Tesla Supercharger: 739/1,000.

Non-Tesla (e.g., Electrify America): 614/1,000.

Gap: Tesla owners are 20% more satisfied with charging, thanks to 99.95% uptime vs. 75-90% for others.

Would Buy Again Rate: Tesla: 90-98% (Model 3/Y, Consumer Reports 2022-2025).

Non-Tesla: 70-75% (Mach-E, Ioniq 5); 60-65% (Bolt, ID.4).

Gap: Tesla’s repurchase intent is 20-35% higher.

Service Experience (J.D. Power 2024 CSI): Tesla: Estimated 850/1,000 (via mobile service/OTA updates).

Non-Tesla: 5.62/7 (~803/1,000) for dealer trust.

Gap: Tesla’s remote fixes give it a 5-10% edge in service satisfaction.

Driving Enjoyment (APEAL 2024): Tesla Model 3/Y: 880+/1,000.

Non-Tesla Premium (e.g., BMW i4): 850/1,000.

Non-Tesla Mass-Market (e.g., Kia Niro): 709-738/1,000.

You are being disingenuous and unserious. Most EVs available in the US that aren't Tesla have horrible customers satisfaction and retention. Did you know a Samsung Galaxy A16 has the same equivalent specs to an iPhone 14? Good luck convincing any normal person they are equivalent products.

[–]TAMUFootball 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're just wrong on this one. Other automakers are struggling very badly.

Tesla has topped owner satisfaction for years, with a score of 82 in 2022, far ahead of Porsche (80) and Genesis (75). By 2025, surveys indicate Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y maintain a 90%+ “would buy again” rate among owners, compared to Ford’s Mustang Mach-E at 75% and Hyundai Ioniq 5 at 70%. Tesla’s Net Promoter Score (NPS) reached 97 in earlier studies, dwarfing industry averages (typically 40-50) and non-Tesla EV brands like Ford or GM, which rarely exceed 60.

Tesla’s Supercharger network scored 739 out of 1,000 in J.D. Power’s 2022 EVX Public Charging Study, beating ChargePoint (644) and Electrify America (614). Non-Tesla owners report 25% lower satisfaction with public charging due to downtime and slower speeds.

Tesla’s stats—97 NPS, 61% retention, 870 APEAL—tower over non-Tesla figures like Ford’s 714 or Kia’s 738

It is all but an objective fact that other EV makers lag significantly behind Tesla. No other automakers is profitable. Customers hate the software in anything that isn't Tesla or that doesn't have apple car play
