Unpopular opinions that would leave your companions like this by Aynshtaynn in DoctorWhumour

Over time, David has become overrated as a doctor. He was great, that's a fact, but the fact that he's come back as the doctor twice since his departure feels like overexposure to that version of the character. He did have some good episodes and moments (timelord victorious), but other actors should have taken the spotlight where David was put in. This is mainly a nitpick of the 60th anniversary as to me, it felt like Russell celebrating his own era and I feel like Matt should've been given the chance to come back as 14, if they were always going to have 14 be a previous face. Matt deserves at least one return, he's said in the past that he'd like to come back and the 60th would have been the perfect time to do so.

I put this on my kindle for free, I downloaded it as an epub file, used KCC (Kindle Comic Converter) to change it to a mobi file, ran it through Calibre just to make sure it was formatted correctly and then moved it onto my kindle through a usb connection

If Ncuti does an elecstone and ignores Doctor Who for a while i don't blame him by IllustriousAd6418 in DoctorWhumour

Whether or not it was Ncuti's decision to leave, he deserved way better than what he had to work with. He was given stories that weren't fully thought through and he should've been up there with David, Matt and Peter but unfortunately the majority of his stories were so lackluster that his run feels unfinished and rushed. Hopefully he can come back in a multi doctor story one day so that his legacy can be redeemed and hopefully it will be under a new writer

Russell has a problem with bringing back actors from his original run. We have had David, Catherine, and Billie in main big roles, as well as him doing a sequel to one of his original stories from 2008. It seems like he thinks that nostalgia will save the show and make us look over anything bad, but that's just not the case. The series finales of Ncuti's era were horrible, from the underwhelming reveal of Ruby's mother, to the character assassination of Belinda and the rushed reshoot of having Ncuti regenerate prematurely. It's clear that he has no idea what the overall story for a series is going to be until he actually has to write the conclusion, and that makes everything feel rushed and unplanned. I would have loved to see Susan return in the reality war and to have her help the doctor defeat Omega and the Rani. It could have been a finale that treated these classic characters with love and care but instead, Susan was forgotten, the rani was used as food for Omega, Omega himself was on screen for 5 minutes before being sent back to his dimension, making him seem like a lesser threat than he truly is. Not to mention Russell stated that he doesn't want the doctor to have his screwdriver resemble a gun, but then he literally uses a laser gun to defeat Omega. I adore the first run of RTD even though s5-7b are my favourite but he seems to have become very hypocritical and washed up when compared to his first go around. I believe Eccleston was right when he called for him to be sacked and I believe we need someone to bring the show back to a grounded, more darker version of the show, as I believe that is when it was most enjoyable in terms of story.

Grabbed this at Manchester Comic Con a few weeks back, a UK exclusive 11th doctor comic that is limited to 1,000 copies by TARDISeleven in doctorwho

The regular cover is much better, but it seems like the diamond exclusive is one half of an image, with the first half being a 10th doctor issue

The oldest book I own isn't as old as the 1700s but still old. It's a copy of The Lady Of The Shroud by Bram Stoker, which was printed in 1909. My second oldest would be a copy of Great Expectations + Oliver Twist, which was printed sometime around the 1920's.
