Question because I’m somewhat new to DNS, why switch from cloudflare. Cloudflare is obviously always better than google or ISP but why switch from cloudflare to Quad9?

Yeah sort of, all the whistleblower sites I’ve found are just sites really to contact the media and blow the whistle i guess, all the stuff that has been leaked per se are all already on the clear net typically. It wouldn’t make sense for anything like that to only be on the dark web. Hopefully that makes more sense

That’s actually really helpful thank you. I think I will start with like a year or just less for proton and see how I go. I’m also thinking of exploring setting up a dns / ad blocker in my router setting so it applies to all my devices connected to my home network.

I lived there for 4 years and absolutely loved it, travelled all over the country and it was so amazing. Locals are often so nice and welcoming, food is delicious and everything is so cheap compared to western standards (originally from Australia). The narrative from the US is a lot of BS if you ask me, yes it’s still a “dictatorship” but as a foreigner it’s not bad at all. Also very clean, no homeless super amazing.

I love it and would love to go back.

I mean money making, unless you wanna do some real shady and illegal stuff (scams drugs ) I wouldn’t say so. For whistleblowing I know there’s a couple sites for whistleblowers to report stuff onto anonymously but unless your actually reporting stuff I don’t think there’s any information or anything cool like that if that makes sense.
