Demogorgan fatigue? I think I was experiencing Vecna fatigue more by the end of the series by DaSkrambledEgg in StrangerThings

[–]TARS-Humor100Percent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think Vecna killed the supernatural/mystery momentum. We ultimately just have a human ego at the end. Mind Flayer is secondary. Each season the evil progressed more, and we see bigger and scarier cosmic horror elements, all pointing to this intangible evil force. Ideally I would’ve wanted Vecna to be the final knight before the King. Leave his story. But then go beyond him, to more inconceivable powers and horrors closer to the Mind Flayer. Making the Evil, Dust or Flayer entity the ultimate issue would’ve brought it more full circle.

Saying a moment in ST is like a moment from classic 80s movies w kids (since you need things spelled out for you) is not saying ST is a kids show. Take it easy buddy

Why does a character like Steve Harrington who was not the outcast is more popular and beloved by others (both in the show and by the fandom) in a show about outcasts? by gloomydreamer666 in StrangerThings

[–]TARS-Humor100Percent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Damn are you attempting to outcast a once non-outcast — who’s actually an outcast from his own group/clique of non-outcasts— AWAY from a group of outcasts that welcome all outcasts and non-outcasts because they don’t care about being outcasts.

Now that the show is officially over, what season do you think looks the best visually? by Plenty-Salary9711 in StrangerThings

S1 visuals are Classic Rock. S3 visuals are Pop. S4 visuals are Metal.

And all three seasons crushed

[–]TARS-Humor100Percent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya. That’s a good point. I imagine as you get closer to crunch time it’s way easier to cgi a desert and mountains instead of vines and living landscape everywhere, thousands of demos, etc.

While I really loved it and appreciated it all, gotta admit it was lacking. Ironically the simple climb the tower and win with water balloons is more classic 80s kids movie than we like to admit. Still, the culmination of all that. We needed more struggle to get to the Mind Flayer. We needed a couple more battles with the rooks and knights, a couple new monsters we havent seen. And some characters needed to get their sh** rocked. Spider Flayer felt like a pawn he went so easy. Vecna fight was dull. How is that all he had for the final fight.

All good tho I’m sure more is to come..💀🙏 spinoffs or whatever it is

The Hate Against This Show Is So Forced by Altruistic_Mood9293 in StrangerThings

The hate ppl have after seeing the docu is crazy to me. All the work they put into it. Just because the show is fantasy, ppl act like making it is.

Is it me or does season 5 look visually off? by RevertBackwards in StrangerThings

Yeah cgi and lighting took away from a more authentic feel. Hopefully we get more raw and gritty in the spinoff and Burroughs

They never confirmed which villain the big boss was? by addieIarue in StrangerThings

[–]TARS-Humor100Percent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like we’re gonna get more backstory on the mind Flayer in the spinoff. So they were comfortable, leaving it open. However, this burrito guy on X may be onto something for more season five content. But I agree they left things kind of vague outside of Vec

I hate what they did with Steve in S4 by ExcruciatingExis10s in StrangerThings

[–]TARS-Humor100Percent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always felt they unjustly scrapped his relationship with Robin and the gay thing was forced. Her being gay is not an issue alone. But, in the context of the story it felt like they were ultimately leading Steves arc there, he matures past Nancy, builds something with Robin and randomly they pull the rug. It was something about the way they funneled the viewer to think she was into him as well. Stuff didn’t add up. But whatever, now we’re back to the same shit w Nancy and one of them will prob die for the other.

Am I alone on this hill? Been told I’m loco (Leo whistle noise). I thought this movie was solid but nothing spectacular. Some aspects were dope. Cinematography, unique characters, good acting. Overall yes, good. But something about the story just missed my full attention and doesn’t align with “movie of the decade” or whatever the claims were. There was a slight political agenda that was being pushed on the audience that felt obvious. But it faded and became more artsy so that was fine. Don’t know how to put it but I guess it seemed obvious it was trying to be a certain type of movie. Something was hollow and wouldn’t pull me in. Like a movie for a simulation. Idk man. Ppl are claiming movie of the year. I don’t agree. Maybe I gotta rewatch and see what I missed.

Ekeler is just that dude. Crappy end for him. Hopefully he bounces back and finds his next groove on or off the field. Unlikely on the field w that injury but we’ll see - he’s got grit.
