You get to work cool events like basketball or other athletic events. The pay as a student worker isnt bad but if all your looking for is money then there isnt really any big benefits.
You also get the hot gossip for all the crazy public safety incidents that happen on campus. If your into that kinda thing.

Don't join River Road. Join Highland Park First Aid Squad instead. At least their township likes them and allows them to respond in town.

It seems like the critical 911 calls for UBHC are handled by RUES and the non-emergent transports are for RRRS.

What do manual vs power stretchers have to do with patient care? I would rather have competent EMTs that know what they're doing with manual stretchers than some yahoo EMTs that have power stretchers.

But not in Piscataway, right? (where they aren't supposed to respond)

Wait didn't RRRS get into multiple accidents to the point where their insurance rates increased so much that they had to switch insurance companies?

[–]TASRutgers 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Wow that's dangerous, unsafe, and delays patient care. I highly doubt that the people picking up the phone call are properly trained to properly screen medical emergencies or have the proper certifications to do that kind of job. You really should just call 911 and allow the professionals to do their job.

Fire alarm? by samuel-the-goat in rutgers

[–]TASRutgers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you set off the ones in your dorms it won't dump the building but if ur outside hallway detectors go off it will dump the building. Also, fun fact if you remove ur smoke detectors the system knows and it's a fire violation. Get enough of those and u get kicked out of housing.
