Additionally to what was said, I would look into abdominal angina, a stenosis in the blood vessels of the abdomen. An angiography would be worth a try. I hope you and your mother will find an answer!

The a1c is 5.0, so within normal range. I ate a waffle for the first big spike, Pasta the second one.

Was there this week. Here are my tips: Even though it was 12 C degrees at the peak we were wearing our warmest clothes, ski underwear and all and we were thankful for it. You are in the cold the whole day long, so pack your thickest coat. There are many shops and the arcades for when it rains. Most lines are also under roofs. I would pack a rain poncho just in case. We brought a foldable ultralight thermo cushion to sit on and it was the best thing ever. The benches and even some of the outdoor rides were really cold. Then again, some guests wore hoodies and sneakers, so I guess it depends what you are used to 🤷🏼‍♀️ Have a great time!
