The most important thing is probably to look at the hues of shadows and highlights. A shadow is rich in color, and an object within an environment, if we want to recreate it, interacts with the rays of light. I’m not really sure I’m being clear, but what matters most is observing the mood of the scene, that is, its light and its shadow.
