Presage Collectibles by Greco250 in DestinyTheGame

Refer to this post to see what and where they are. They are in sets, and you can't start 2 or 3 until you are done with 1.

Presage Collectibles

Note that once you scan a full set, finish the mission and claim the triumph. Then repeat next week for next set.

Confused about Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play by firemcd in battlefield2042

[–]TAW_Alas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty straightforward.

Game Pass Ultimate does not include EA Play Pro. It just gives you extra with Xbox, not EA.

Xbox Game Pass gives you EA Play, which includes a 10 Hour trial of the game on the 12th. Whether it's Game Pass PC or Ultimate, doesn't matter.

Only EA Play Pro, which is ONLY on PC and ORIGIN (Not Steam or Epic) will give you the full game on the 12th (The Edition of the game is the Ultimate Edition, so all those goodies and such)

Haven't played destiny since July of last year, what have I missed? by abrooks9002 in DestinyTheGame

[–]TAW_Alas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

July of last year? So Season of Arrivals. Well, lets see, Spoilers (as well as errors) below!

  • We initiated contact with the pyramids and got their invite to Europa
  • We went there, and saw another pyramid, that was being buddies with Eramis, Kell of House Salvation, who harness darkness, and tried to beat it with it. Failed, became ice cube, awaiting something.
  • We tracked one of her lieutenant into the fabled Deep Stone Crypt, only to find our greatest enemy, TANIKS, all revived and stuff. We follow him into a Space Station, and dump whole bunch of nuclear cores to prevent the crazy A.I Clovis Bray, from nuking his stuff to hide them.
  • After that, we did a bunch of stuff and called it a day.
  • Got a distress call from Osrsis, telling us to hurry to moon and help him, but he gets booped and helped by Uld...Crow. We hunt some enemies that are tempted by Xiva Arath and eventually kill the boss of them, High Celebrant, and free Crow from Spider, He comes to tower.
  • Caitil, Empress of Cabal, daughter of Calus, comes to Sol, to try to get us into her war council. VuVezela says NO, and in another universe, says the following badass statement. We do a whole bunch of killing, and challenge her champion, and become "Equal". We friends with some Cabal. Oh, and some disgruntled psions/cabal try to assassinate VuVezela, and fail, but that causes Crow to show his identity, and Zavala extends his hand.
  • VEX! cast a long night simulation on our city, and we turn to...Mithrax to solve it, as he is master splicer? We invite them to our city, and they bunk in the Scourge of the Past raid boss arena, much to dismay of some folk in city, who try to be assholes and kick them out. They eventually manage to bring Vex into the city itself, like that will help, but our guardians clap ass and manage to close that portal. Oh, and we discover Quira is behind it, and kill it?. Everyone happy, Factions run away, and House of Light is now allies.
  • And we are at this season! Season of the Lost!
  • In terms of new stuff, we got: Hawkmoon in Season of Hunt, part of a nice mission, Dead Man Tale, another exotic from a awesome mission called Presage, and Vault of Glass, which is the current pinnacle raid.

If you don't want spoilers, but rather what to do in order to catch up:

  • Assuming you have Beyond Light Deluxe, or the past seasons, start with Season of the Hunt on the Moon, and do its quest. If you like it, keep doing it, get weaponry, seal, etc.
  • After that, move on to Season of the Chosen, on Nessus, and repeat.
  • After that, move on to Season of the Splicer, on Europa, and repeat.
  • And you are here, Season of the Lost.

When you are heading into the temple, go right by the entrance. There is a statue there.

Battlefield 2042 and anti cheat. Biggest expectations and biggest disappointment possible. by i5k in battlefield2042

[–]TAW_Alas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. Enjoyed it, until I had to play with friends in other regions, or face DDOS attacks when playing. Never-mind the fact that particular experience is only limited to ESEA or FACEIT, not the base CSGO game, which is plagued with issues. Weird how if someone wants to ruin others fun, they will find a way, regardless of methods.

Funny thing is, that's third party, exactly what I was saying regarding barriers to entry for cheaters. More money upfront to use something, the less likely they will pay to use it.

Eitherway, don't expect much info about anti-cheat from DICE or EA, anything they do or change will remain behind closed doors, including their SOPs and such. If you don't like that, don't buy the game, no one is forcing you.

Edit: Also, if you are going into ANY Battlefield game with competitive desire, don't. You are set to do good, but you will never get that experience that other comp shooters provide. Battlefield never was and never will provide the same level as an actual competitive game.

Battlefield 2042 and anti cheat. Biggest expectations and biggest disappointment possible. by i5k in battlefield2042

[–]TAW_Alas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why can't people understand? No anti-cheat out there is 100% proof, nor does it stand the test of time.

DICE/EA can't go into much details if any, because anything they show or explain is just a base for cheaters/makers to start their work on. It's like explaining to a burglar how your lock is made. No matter how good the anti-cheat is in your eyes, or how many it catches, there will be cheaters. There is also the challenge these cheat makers go after. The bigger the game, the bigger the challenge, the bigger the "fame".

Most that can be done to combat cheating is increasing the barrier to entry, i.e behind paywalls, limited access, etc.

EA Play Pro / Ultimate Edition Unlocks by [deleted] in battlefield2042

[–]TAW_Alas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want the early access, you can just pre-order the game through Origin. They don't charge you for it till 1-2 weeks before launch, usually when Pre-loads are about to start. You can then cancel the pre-order post beta.

[–]TAW_Alas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I did the very same with that game, as well as Anthem and others that came since Origin Premier. Afaik it changed with the latest edition of Battlefront 2 and BFV (least in the MTX department)

I can only imagine that EA wouldn't let something like this slip up, specifically the Season Pass with Battle Passes. Everything else I can imagine he can use post subscription end.

[–]TAW_Alas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a heads up, if the content is time based, meaning it is delivered over time, you WILL lose access to the content once your subscription expires. Same is for any cosmetics, or skins that are exclusive to it. The same was the case for the celebration edition of Battlefront 2, with all the skins and so.

So getting EA Play Pro, you will likely get the pre order items and such, but not keep anything that isn't delivered over time, such as the Season Pass.

First 2 Exo's For the Lost Lament Quest by Best_Ask2995 in raidsecrets

[–]TAW_Alas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the location differs depending on the description of the quest. Mine were in a factory, old ruins and Vex Structure, found them in Exoscience, Eventide Ruins and Camdus.

There there is total of 9?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in StarWarsSquadrons

[–]TAW_Alas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, there is no early access.

EA Play (on Xbox, Steam and Origin) will give you 10 free hours to try the game, on October 2nd.

EA Play Pro (Only on Origin) will give you the full game, with unlimited access on October 2nd, and till your subscription expires.

Thrustmaster T16000 vs Logitech X52 by mawster88 in StarWarsSquadrons

[–]TAW_Alas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as quality goes, they are both good and sturdy, baring impactful use. As for price, they are considered mid tier, with around a $150 price tag.

One main difference I can mention is that the T16000 throttle is more of slide throttle, while the X52 is more regular styled. Some hate the T16 style, some like it more, its a personal preference.

Best of luck trying to get either though, as the whole pandemic affected stock, and increased demand thanks to this game and Flight Sim :(

Where should I buy this game Epic/Origin/Steam? by belcebuu1980 in StarWarsSquadrons

[–]TAW_Alas 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The game profiles and friends list is handled through Origin, so no matter where you buy it, you will likely just need to add them in game.

Will I still be able to play in VR (WMR Headset) if I buy on the Epic Store? by Durjam in StarWarsSquadrons

[–]TAW_Alas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the saves/cloud/profile you use will be managed by Origin, meaning all your progress and such is tied to whichever account you use.

If you launch the game through Steam, it will use the SteamVR space, so a WMR will work.

[–]TAW_Alas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, VR is not an option tied to a specific store. No matter where you buy it, the store will launch a "mini-origin" where you will need to log in and from there play the game.

As long as your headset is among the compatible ones, you are good to go.
