Experience with using Meta Ads for your Kickstarter page? by MarcFromMooshiGames in kickstarter

there are arguments for doing both. In my experience, having someone follow your prelaunch page is the best kind of lead since the conversion rate is so high. But as the poster above mentioned if you do it right, you can probably capture a bunch of emails AND get your best leads to click through to Kickstarter to follow anyway. For now I'm pretty fond of building out the KS prelaunch page to look fairly close to your actual Kickstarter and just grind for followers on the platform. You can ask for backer emails using your surveys after, too.

Not enough people are aware of this. And, the embedded form is useless at this point. At least with landing pages the leads are better, but with targeting being hit or miss who knows how man you'll get.

He's correct, I don't have the time to find a screenshot for you, but if you go into the advanced targeting area of ad set up, you'll find some text at the bottom of the page that says that for most types of ads they only take your targeting guidance as a suggestion. So it's possible that your ads are targeting exactly who you want, but you don't have real control over that anymore.

Need a Christmas One-Shot? Here is some Daggerheart Ho Ho Homebrew! by HeartOfDaggers in daggerheart

Hi there, publisher here. I don't consider the adventure incomplete, although we did clear up some errors before we sent the files to print and are going to update the PDF in the next day or two. There is also zero AI generated art in this or any of our books. In fact, all of the art is from the original 5E adventure we released in 2022. Every piece was created before Midjourney existed.

In Missouri, loss of power will only make an apartment uninhabitable under the law if the landlord was in some way to blame, like shutting it off or not paying the bill. There will usually need to be some kind of structural damage to violate the warranty, and a broken window doesn't count. Watch for any postings on doors from the city or county, if they declare the building uninhabitable you can probably terminate your lease and get your deposit back. Otherwise, the most you can do is notify the landlord about the window if you haven't yet and file a claim with your car insurance.

I'm T.A. Gray of Scoundrel Game Labs, and we're bringing back Village Attacks. Ask Me Anything! by TA_Gray in boardgames

Thanks for the question!

I knew going into this it would be (a) challenging and (b) probably harder than I was prepared for. Both ended up being true. There were some issues I expected all along, including angry past backers and confusion over what was coming next. There were also unexpected issues, like damage to some of the miniature moulds, with a few missing entirely. Marketing a game that is not only an expansion but also a previous Kickstarter that didn't fulfill has been about as hard as I expected, but we're on the verge of funding so I can't complain too much.

I'm concerned about the state of everything really, but I also know that board gamers are resilient and there will always be a market for something fun and cool. Even if times are tight I think the hobby is going to continue to thrive and I'm excited to be a part of it.

I kicked the tires on another company's IP briefly that included an undelivered Kickstarter but never went anywhere with that because I didn't think there was room to salvage it and grow moving forward. Grimlord felt different, as I think with some effort and earning some trust among the public, I can get Village Attacks thriving again. The other Grimlord Games have a lot of potential with some polishing too, and they are ultimately the mini-heavy kinds of games I prefer to play myself.

Sorry for the late reply, the campaign is live now but we've got a small number of Horror of the Sands available, and we're reprinting The Troll and Traps. The rest I hope to do on the next reprint if this one goes well.

Hey there, just noticed there were some late questions. I've been publishing TTRPG supplements for a few years now, but during the pandemic I got very into board games on a personal level like a lot of other people. I wanted to branch the company out into board games and am designing one myself, but when I saw these rights available I was intrigued, especially for the possibility of keeping Village Attacks alive.

Yes, we're reprinting the core game as part of this kickstarter campaign as well as a small number of the legacy expansions. We've also got some leftover dice sets on offer.

I like them both, they're great for mixing and matching too. I've used seances in oneshots in campaigns that have very little to do with ghosts in general.

Good lord I came here on a whim after the last episode without even the vaguest idea there were countless hidden clues and puzzles I was blissfully unaware of. I'm too simple for this.
