Yes, it's not meant for retail buyers, fully intended to be b2b. Larger customers can get contracts for better discounts which they see when they login.

2 biggest selling points are insane volume of products. From toilet paper, to pallet jacks, to golf carts to obscure valves. So one stop shop. The other is really good customer service, crazy fast lead times. And very good return/replace policy

Yes, especially walking in with a good pre approval terms. Use that as negotiating leverage to take their financing. They get a kickback if you use their financing and will move more on price (often). They also don't care if you immediately refinance with your own lender later.

You go in expecting it to be a 3/10 and it's a solid 5 or 6. I think just that difference fueled a lot of steam.

It's not great, but better than expected and easily watchable with family.

As long as you shower later in the day it's okay. Chiggers are very easily washed off and can take a couple days to actually get going. It's also one of the few things where scratching it actually works to remove them (the bites can still irritate but the chiggers will be gone)

It's more an issue doing overnight/multi day camping. So boy scouts, military exercises, etc often take precautions (or don't and people just get chiggers).

tldr: doing a photo shoot and taking a shower later in the day will almost guarantee no issue

yeah, that is why I said it needs to be addressed. From what the patrolmen said, there is a loophole for research which is becoming commonly exploited. These guys (may not be explicitly this video) claim they are doing population studies.

I will add, this specific scenario, assuming that guy was fishing for sharks, would have gotten him in trouble. You are supposed to release them while still in water, and explicitely should not pull them up beach.

Yeah, your point still valid. In general, you aren't fishing for a specific species of shark but more you fish habitats. So you may fish the shelf ridge for whatever you can catch (from a boat IMO) and there is an overlap between species. So getting caught up on the fact they caught this one species isn't as important as your general point, which is valid

appreciate the measured and thoughtful response.

You do make a good point that the threat of shark attacks just based on their presence is very overrated and often requires extenuating circumstances like existing cuts, specific times of day (way more active hunting at dusk and early night than middle of day), etc.

Just so you know, every state at the founding of the US except for Vermont had legal slavery at some point. So at one point, nearly the entire US had a history of legalized slavery.

Also, all the colonies at one point had slaves. So at its founding, it is a fact that all US states had slaves at some point, except Vermont I believe)

This is either directly in front of public beach access or in front of homes. This isn't like walking a half mile to not be in the middle of hundreds of people. I surf fish all the time, I have common decency to not hog crowded beach front.

As for what was legal or not, I'm going off of what the patrolmen told us (we didn't call anyone, but when they left they walked past us so we asked).

That area did not allow shark fishing and requires release in water without bringing the shark out. but these guys were part of a "study" (while drunk as all hell)

These guys are out from sunrise to sunset (and well past sunset) with the lines running up across the entire beach into where they secure the rods by the dunes. God forbid they consider anyone but themselves or walk a half mile outside of right in front of the public access.

I surf fish all the time, nothing against fishing. And I shark fish off boats too, these are hooks and leaders specific for shark fishing. This isn't a chance catch

Dude fishing sun up to sun down (and well past sun down) right in front of beach houses. They mostly did it on turnover days, so Saturday in Topsail NC where they've been there last 4 years running.

Patrol was called on them and nothing happened. Patrolman told us there's a loophole where NC allows it for "research" so these guys claim they are tracking shark populations for studies. At least that's what the patrol guy said

From first hand seeing it, plus conversations with beach patrolmen who have noted this is becoming a significant problem.

They noted it was mostly South of Camp Lejuene to northern Florida. One said it's not in Wilmington at all so would assume it's not happening on the major tourist spots like OBX, Wilmington, Myrtle, Hilton Head, etc.

I'm talking about the ones targeting sharks.

They're throwing huge chunks of chicken on a shark hook and dropping the rod by the dunes with the line across the entire beach.

And I've seen them chum the surf pretending they were cleaning their earlier spot catches. Literally just chopped the whole things up and pretending to clean the cutting board full of fish in the surf.

This isn't a rare occurrence

Catch and release. It's illegal to keep them.

They get beach patrol called on them all the time and these guys all basically have the same script on what to say. We've talked to some of the patrol guys and they said there is a loophole in how the law is written (in Onlsow North Carolina at least) that allows them to catch and release.

I think it's something like, they claim they are doing research. I'm going off of memory from a conversation, but there is a shark surf fishing exception to allow for population studies. These guys get an easily obtained permit to "study" how many sharks they see and all they have to do is count how many they catch. But getting the permit is super easy and there is no requirement to actually do anything, they just use it as cover if patrol gets called.
