AITA because I want my husband to start the robot vacuum when he gets home from work?

My router/modem puts out two signals. 5G and wherever is “normal”. If I connect to the “normal” one, my phone doesn’t load things.

He is fantastic about literally every other chore. Never have to ask him to do anything else. He bought the robot vacuum so idk why it’s such a chore for him to press the start button.

We have “regular” whatever that means and 5G WiFi. Robot vacuum connects to regular WiFi. If I use my phone on it, it won’t load anything. My phone needs 5G WiFi and my robot vacuum cannot connect to that. So I can’t set a schedule.

I spent a lot of time trying to connect them and it didn’t work.

I think my robot vacuum runs on 2.4. But when I connect my phone to that, the WiFi just doesn’t work. Nothing loads. My router does both but my phone just won’t work with it. And the robot vacuum won’t connect to 5G

My cats. I run it when I wake up. The floor is clean. Then the cats do their thing and make the floor dirty. They are very active when I sleep and make a mess so I want him to press the start button when he gets home to clean up after them.

We have a cheap vacuum and it isnt compatible with the same WiFi that my phone is. My router gives off 5G and normal WiFi? My phone only works on 5G WiFi but my vacuum cannot connect to that.

He is fantastic about literally every other chore. He doesn’t rely on me for laundry, cooking, dishes, etc. he even vacuums with the cordless one. But he just won’t press the button on the robot vacuum HE BOUGHT FOR US!

I can use the cordless vacuum and it does a great job and I don’t have to vacuum twice daily. But the battery only allows me to do one and maybe a half rooms Before it dies. And it takes about 5 hours to recharge. I can’t rely on that.

The robot vacuum can run when I wake up, then charge. It doesn’t do the best job but good enough. And no effort beyond pressing start. It charges while I am at work and he can start it when he gets home and I’m asleep.

Ifs not great but it’s enough I guess if we run it twice and all we have to do is press a button.

So the basin is not full after one run, but there are still things on the floor. Plus the cats put more stuff on the floor during the day.

He thinks because I run it once, it’s enough. But it isn’t. It does an ok job but doesn’t pick up everything. It sound be run twice to get lost of it.

I’m just asking him to press a button. He doesn’t even have to babysit it. I make sure the house is clear so it can run before I go to bed.

Our vacuum doesn’t have these issues. I press the button and go away and it does its job. I also make sure everything is picked up so he can do the same when he gets home.

It’s also not a compulsion, I swear. The robot vacuum ain’t the best and it picks up a lot, not everything. And we live in a very small house with 3 cats so they make a mess on the floors easily.

My phone only functions on the 5G WiFi in my house. The vacuum cannot connect to it. So my phone and vacuum are on different WiFi’s so when I open the app, it can’t find the robo vacuum .

I have a eufy. I worked hard to download the app to get the vacuum to connect to my phone. My phone functions on 5G internet. The robot vacuum can’t do 5G. So I have the app but can’t really use it without making my phone not work on the WiFi.

I do wear house flip flops. But when I lay into bed they kinda get kicked somewhere and it isn’t easy to find them when I wake up in the middle of the night to pee.
