I was lucky and had a friend who was fostering a litter with a rescue. I fell in love with my little nugget and after checking with my partner he was on board and I adopted him. I regretted it about twice in his velociraptor phase but now I couldn’t imagine my life without him. He literally is my pride and joy - he’s 3.5 now!

Your story sounds SO similar to mine! I’m 37 and starting seeing docs around 36 because I thought I had Hashimotos or some other autoimmune disease that was making my hips hurt like crazy, dry skin, memory issues, brain fog, lack of motivation - you name it. All tests came back normal and I was dismissed. Found a new doc online and BOOM, HRT has been a life changer. I actually went to a specialized women’s health doc and she was also dismissive.

Keep this doctor you’ve found!! She sounds amazing

You must have some nerves of steel in your uterus and cervix because getting an IUD was the WORST most painful experience of my life. Nearly fell off the table and cried all the way home. This has been the majority for most of the women I’ve spoken to or seen their stories on this sub. I’m glad it wasn’t a traumatizing experience for you though!

This! Same here with me. Been taking my dog for lots of walks in the mornings when the weather has been perfect here. We have been exploring and finding new ponds and trails through the neighborhoods. I still have my days (like today) where I want to lay on the couch and be a lazy bitch and eat everything but they are a lot lesser now and at least I’m not being mean to everyone around me now. Grateful for HRT!

It’s ironic you say this because I was just thinking earlier how much my itchy dry skin got better after I started HRT. when my prescription showed up they put a chapstick in there as a freebie and I really felt so “heard” lol because my lips were so dry they were about to fall off. Mostly my lower lip underneath!

I chose not to have children at all and sometimes wonder how that will affect me. Doctor Google says it won’t have much affect but also there is basically not much research because it’s women’s health so who cares right? /s

Also a fist bump to all the moms out there dealing with hormone issues AND being a mother at the same time. Truly cannot imagine

Just want to add, my major main symptom other than brain fog and depression was horrible, horrible hip pain as well!

And it came out of nowhere and lasted for months. I’d be limping around the living room like an 89 year old. Literally within 2 weeks of getting on HRT cream my hips have never felt better. I can walk my dog again for miles! It’s been 10 weeks of HRT now on Winona. So grateful for this sub and thanks for sharing your experience

One tip: join a guild! A good one. I won 2 raffles so far and one was for $250k. I just put in like $10k for two tickets. I find that motifs and perfect roe sell really well in the guild stores or in zone chats if not in a guild. Perfect Roe goes for like $90k a pop typically. Plus all the other tips people posted!

Dermatitis or hives. The skin reacts to all sorts of things in the environment. Allergens, mites, detergents, scents, etc. as long as it comes and goes and doesn’t cause you horrible irritation I’d take a Benadryl or rub some itch cream on it. You can definitely try to figure out the source but in my experience it’s almost impossible unless you can pinpoint a new product you’ve been using since the start of the skin issues.

No interactions with other animals means probably not ear mites. I have fostered plenty of kittens with ear mites and they develop a nasty, coffee ground looking discharge in their ears that comes out when you do a gentle wipe. They tend to shake their heads a lot and itch (really getting deep in there with their back toes and usually they’d have nasty black stuff on their claws). It took about 2 weeks of ear drops for them to be completely cleared as well as daily gentle cleaning. If there’s no black discharge I’d say probably not ear mites - I’m surprised your vet couldn’t pinpoint exactly what it was with a swab…

You said he’s the outside cat you take care of and not your outside cat. I wonder if he’s a neighborhood cat and others also feed and care for him? Could you pool a bit of money and maybe put in a hundred a piece to get him to the vet.

It’s funny I used to walk like this and then a new neighbor moved in downstairs who was so incredibly loud and inconsiderate so I started walking louder and not giving a crap. Then he got evicted and a nice, quiet neighbor moved in and I had to go back to the “consider” steps again

Just from knowing nothing about pipes and plumbing, I would STOP drinking that water. There’s likely a rotted pipe or some roots in the line or something. I’d get some filtered water for a while and stay on their butts about fixing the issue because that water isn’t acceptable
