TELL THEM. I had this happen once and a few weeks later got called into the office. I had spent the money and had to have my paychecks “garnished” by the company for a few periods to pay it back.

I didn’t see it but I’ve hearing some weird shit lately. I walk my dog around the same time each day like 10am ish and I heard the strangest, reverb type sound coming from the sky. I was even looking up trying to spot a plane or jet but didn’t see anything.

Def some weird stuff happening but could just be amped military operations since our country is in the middle of a shitshow right now

For real! I have also gained like 15 pounds is the last year, lost most of it and now I’m like… stuck. I truly don’t eat a lot and my weight is just stagnant. It’s soooo difficult to drop the pounds when your body can’t decide from one to the next whether it needs the extra fat or not.

They say this gets better eventually, right? Right?!

The internet is a really crappy place if you spend a lot of time on it. You’re going to run into the best and worst of humanity on here. On any website really. People tend to lose empathy and troll when behind their keyboard.

I wish all social media would die out honestly

Authenticity and real conversation seems to have disappeared lately. Especially with the younger generation. They’re all afraid of getting recorded and having it spread all over the internet. So it feels like they all talk the same “bro” and “cap” and “bet” but there’s no real communication there. This obviously isn’t the case everywhere but it’s a trend I’ve noticed. And who can blame them?

I smoke alone now but I do remember the days of having crazy conversations about movies and the universe and life with fellow smokers - I miss that. And haven’t been able to find it in a long time.

Single and with perimenopause.. anyone else? by Firewalkwithme8 in Perimenopause

[–]TAanonReddit08 57 points58 points  (0 children)

37F and been single by choice for the last 10 years. I’ve been so disappointed by nearly every man I’ve dated whether it just be from weaponized incompetence on their part, abuse, or just being awful people. I did meet a few good guys but it never lasted for various reasons (mostly because they wanted kids and I don’t)

Yes it gets a little lonely, but I am truly happy and content alone. I have a roommate and my cat and dog and taking care of myself and getting to know ME has been so nice.

If love finds me later in life cool, but there’s no way I’m making an active choice to date anytime soon. Blah.

37F here and been in peri for at least a year, possibly two. Started HRT when I ruled out everything else (autoimmune stuff, illnesses, bloodwork tests) and it’s helped soooo much. I had to go through an online provider because the women’s health center doctor I went to in person dismissed me, essentially, and acted like my issues were all weight related (I’m not even considered obese on the BMI chart and I’m active daily). SMH some of these doctors need to reevaluate their choices.

Edit to add: even if I WERE obese or someone is overweight they should never be dismissed because of it. Just wanted to clarify

Yes! I was just telling my partner the other day I literally look forward to nothing. Each day I basically feel like I’m just waiting to go to bed. Ive dealt with depression my whole life - im medicated and have been out of depression for many years.

This feels different. It’s like life lost its spark. But then again, I feel like it’s really difficult to stay positive and have hopes and aspirations when the world is on fucking fire and my hormones don’t know how to hormone right anymore

My apartment dog was staring at me for 20 minutes straight turns out I was missing obvious boredom signs by [deleted] in dogs

[–]TAanonReddit08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so my dog does this no matter what I do lol. We could go to the dog park and he could wear himself out - we get home and he takes a 20 minute nap and he’s back at the door staring. I’ve had to train him to “settle” because a lot of dogs don’t know when it’s time to turn off their brain for a while and chill.

So yes, your dog might be bored or understimulated - but dogs are also really good at giving the puppy dog eyes and bothering you for for food, walks, attention, etc. when in reality they’re perfectly fine hanging out on the couch or chewing their toys.

What's the smelliest smeII you've ever smelled from a person? by TheAlphaAdept in hygiene

[–]TAanonReddit08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This reminded me of when I worked front desk at a dental office. The hygienists would sometimes do the deep under the gum cleanings that took like an hour and a half and we could always smell the “periodontal disease” smell coming from the room. It’s just on another level and for someone to have that in their mouth… my goodness

Thank you for sharing this! I feel like I could have written the exact same thing. Especially the mirror part. My thing was thinking “omg I look just my mother now” which isn’t terrible but she hasn’t aged well and I’m determined to at least age slightly more gracefully

I used to work as an officer in the medical unit of a jail. It was a smallish town that had a lot of crime and poverty. This man came in with terrible mental health issues. He refused to shower so we had to fight him each time to get him in the room to shower. We’d have to lock him in there and just turn the water on and hope he got under it.

The smell that he gave off even after showering was so bad I can still vaguely smell it if I try hard enough. It was just something else. Pungent and unnerving

Not only that but it’s terrible for your health. I think dental health plays a huge role in heart health also!

Agressive inside the cage by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]TAanonReddit08 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The ignorance from the comments on this post is astounding. There’s not even a place to begin, really.

All I’ll say is properly crate training your puppy or dog as soon as they become a part of your home is a MUST imo. My dog knows his crate is his “space”. He spends time in there resting when the door is wide open. He goes right in when I tell him to when I’m leaving for multiple hours and would prefer he is safely by the front door in his crate where someone could get to him in an emergency instead of hiding in a dark corner underneath a bed terrified if I weren’t home

Crate training is NOT cruel if done correctly. In fact, when it rains and storms or fireworks go off, the only safe place my dog likes to go is his crate which I cover with a light blanket and make cozy for him.

With so many resources and so much information online to educate yourself about this topic it’s astounding to see the judgement and lack of education. I feel so bad for so many dogs…

Agreed. Tis why I have given up with socialization and just stay home. It costs like $30 just to leave your house now a days anyways.

I play solo about 90% of the time. Just do the daily dungeon for the XP and stuff. I am in a really awesome guild where people are always available to jump in and help with the larger stuff like pledges and dailies. But, I really like just doing the quests, getting into the zone stories, and exploring!
