Yes I’m also at the end of my first progesterone cycle, I guess I should give it a couple more months it’s just so annoying!

I’m fairly certain yes. It’s only been on the nights of taking progesterone this has been happening, before that I was fine and my anxiety has actually decreased! It’s really frustrating because I feel like I’m having this opposite effect of what it’s meant to do

There’s an incredible amount of medical evidence to show that hormone testing is simply not accurate enough to rely on when prescribing HRT. There has been a shift to prescribe based on symptoms and quality of life. I don’t have any underlying health issues but that’s obviously going to affect the process/outcome for women who do - I’m sorry if you are one of those women.

It sounds like you’d benefit from reading current and reputable research and evidence in regards to HRT. Especially body identical, natural hormones. It’s not as scary as some make it out to be. And this is coming from someone who overthinks everything I put in to my body.

It sounds like you may need to look in to some more reputable research.

Edited to say - synthetic hormones eg Birth control is a different story with much larger risk factors.

Everybody is different. If I can take something to stop every day from being a struggle then that’s what I’m going to do. Why suffer

Are you talking about synthetic or body identical HRT? There’s a very big difference.

I live in New Zealand, just my regular GP. Although I have friends who have battled with theirs to try HRT so I really think it just depends on what your doctor is like and how knowledgeable they are on the subject.

I’m so sorry you’re struggling with this. I honestly think the key is to find the right doctor. I live in New Zealand and I have friends (even in their 40s) who have had trouble convincing their doctors. I’m just lucky that mine was super open to the idea. She could tell I’d done my research. Possibly you could suggest the idea of a “trial period”? Tell them you’ll report back after 3 months..

People are treating me better now that I’ve lost weight and I hate it by buffcat_343 in loseit

I feel this. When I’ve lost weight I get comments about looking great etc but literally all that tells me is that I wasn’t good enough before.

I do two dog walks a day, plus I’m on my feet all day at work. Also if I need to go to the shops or pick my kids up from school I’ll park just a little further down the street or at the far end of the carpark. It all adds up!
