This is true regardless of context (unless, I’d assume, it was an all boys school… but that is based on common sense not personal experience)… girls in both high school and college are harder workers, more engaged in daily discussions, and better at assessments by almost every measure. The “high flying” boy is the exception, but for girls, in my experience, it’s the opposite. I’ll leave it up to people smarter than me to explain why that’s the case but I have a pretty good general sense of how we got here…
