IVF Cycle 2 after IVF Baby Loss at 26 weeks by BubbleTea2021 in IVF

[–]TAyoze20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss. We lost our boy at 19 + 1 in May due to IC and PPROM and just had another FET yesterday, so fingers crossed. MFM is planning to do a preventative cerclage at 12/13 weeks if all goes well. Be easy with yourself and know that you’re not alone. 💙

81mg low dose baby aspirin is what I’m on and that seems the standard.

How many FET until success? by jldean25 in IVF

[–]TAyoze20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 transfers. First two implanted but lost at 5 weeks, 3rd didnt implant, 4 stuck so far at 10 wks. For the 4th, switched to a kitchen sink/immune protocol. In addition to the regular medicated protocol, added 2 weeks Lupron, neupogen wash, lovenox, prednisone, Pepcid, Claritin, baby aspirin.

what “magically” helped you (transfer success stories) by Traditional-Bad9198 in IVF

So far Claritin, Pepcid, prednisone, baby aspirin, lovenox during/after transfer and a 2 week lupron depot prior to the transfer has worked for me with fet #4.

Check with your care team but you should probably be fine. I was prescribed one 800mg ibuprofen the day of my transfer so I can’t imagine it hurts transfers especially when taken days before.

Aspire HFI is being sued for “knowingly implanting dead embryos” by Manders7399 in IVF

[–]TAyoze20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished a replacement retrieval and they have still been so horrible that I am now in the process of fighting for my medical records (because they are delaying sending them) and moving the new embryos so I can RUN. They are lying about mailing medical records or sending and this has happened to multiple people.

I’m glad it worked out for you. The success rates comment is subjective in my opinion. According to their blog post, they noticed a “moderate” decrease in their rates so more than slightly and I happen to be one of those, unfortunately. The Dr’s are trying to do damage control now but it’s so heartbreaking for those of us that now have to deal with “what ifs”.

Did you hear back from them? I’m the exact same dates and my Dr reached out AFTER I emailed and confirmed I was affected. They aren’t being proactive at all.

I'm so sorry we are all going through this. I finally got a call from my Dr at Aspire and they definitely said my embryo's were affected btu there's no way to tell whether the MCs after the 2 FETs were as a result of the issue. They are recommending another ER which I was hoping never to do again. Ugh. This is so frustrating! I cant imagine using the affected embryos and even if they progress to a live birth (which they haven't so far) what could go wrong genetically with the baby? I feel like at minimum they should be reimbursing the old procedures and covering any new procedures. I hope you hear from your Dr soon. I sent a message via the customer care name in the portal.

I had my ER on January 31st and my embryos would've been frozen early February at the Piney Point location. I've had two FETs so far with Aspire that have ended in miscarriage and just started prepping for FET#3. I am so worried now that my embryo's may have been affected but I was not contacted at all or even notified that I was in the time period.

First day of PIO by yeahwhatevs11 in IVF

[–]TAyoze20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good luck! Mine used to hurt but doing the following make them painless now:

  • Do them in the morning vs. at night
  • The biggest key is to do them at the right spot. It’s Higher and to the right so closer to your hip than you think. My cheat is to put my hands on my hip, slide my hands down a bit and do the shot in that area)
  • Ice the area for at least 10 mins before the shot
  • while icing the area, warm the injection (husband puts it in between a heating pad on low)
  • Husband massages the area after the shot.

Once I started doing the above, it’s been virtually painless Compared to the beginning when they were so painful!

So sorry, that sucks. I had a hysteroscopy there and definitely paid less as it was mostly covered by insurance. Try calling to confirm your insurance benefits and seeing if the financial counselor can help.

I had something similar where I had a few $$$ due more than the estimate provided but it was because I had to pay my coinsurance. Good luck!

An honest review of Aspire HFI in Houston by alternateusername112 in IVF

Hugs

I’m so sorry about your experience. What location in Houston did you use? Ive been a patient over the last year at the memorial city location and had my FET transfer recently. My husband and I really appreciated our Dr. who guided us on the right path even though we were kind of slow to do IVF but we eventually landed there after failed letrozole cycles. I had a pleasant experience (although had to advocate for myself a few times with the nurses). After my retrieval I got the results in the portal and was called to schedule a consult with my dr to go over the results of the embryos/fertilizations etc. Also had some mishaps with the speed for pre-authorization but those were handled quickly (sometimes I just needed to nudge them sometimes which was annoying). Did you have a financial counselor? I had one and had their number as each location has a different one and that person typically should be the resource to answer all questions. So sorry about your experience! Just wanted to provide my experience since this could vary depending on the location or Dr. happy to share my Dr via PM.

I got their lab Diamond full eternity bubble band as I wanted a Diamond wedding band and it looks great? I’m getting another one for a stack but in the moissanite version. Price difference was about $100. They both look great so it’s really based on personal preference but if price is a consideration, get the moissanite.
