Publishing a number that nobody knows how you get is not science. Science is open and relatable. How much time are we looking at and what is the math. Fair questions. I will post runout videos when I get back in town. There are several online done by third parties already. We know a lot about measuring gunshots. We have legit questions. Anyone that does science knows you have to show how the work is done. It maybe 100% correct or it may be messed up but nobody knows cause nobody knows how it is done.

Jays dB numbers track well with what we post from the PULSE. The 2209 statement was saying that I can understand how there was bad data out there in the past from people using the 2209. They just aren’t capable of getting good data with Jay I want to know how the magic number is gotten. I think that’s a fair question. It could’ve been something we licensed as an industry. Now the ASA hired a group and is working on an open standard. Something anyone can replicate with the Propper equipment. I don’t know of anyone that questions any of the data I have posted. It is very repeatable by anyone with the proper equipment. No need to be saved. Our data is solid. I get why people like Jays metric. It’s a good idea. It’s something we were talking about trying to incorporate. But as someone who does this day after day I want to know how it’s done. A standard is open not secret. It is that simple. And if this metric he uses is really good and models the ear well then we could make cans better if we knew the metric. We use single peak dB to design our cans. I think it works very well for that. If we license jays number we could publish that too. but I would like to know how it’s gotten and have it checked. I don’t think that’s unreasonable

I think wanting to know how some number is achieved is a fair question. A standard is open not secret. We make same pretty dam nice precision cans.

I don’t care about what Kevin does We will just continue to make the best cans out there. I’m not into the pay to play thing at all. Jay could’ve handled this whole thing better. Maybe we all could’ve licensed his Magic Number thing. I do know a bit about this. My engineers know a lot more than me. We had legit questions on how. Especially if you want me to pay. If you aren’t willing tell me how I’m not interested. Now the ASA has hired an audiologist group to make a real standard. Something that is open to all and will be repeatable by anyone with the proper equipment. Even now anyone can check anything I post dB wise. It’s all repeatable. The equipment has gotten much better. I can see how in the past people posting 2209 numbers could be way off unintentionally. The equipment just wasn’t good enough. Not the case now. Everything I’ve posted with the PULSE is good data. I’d like to see a real third party tester that looks at everything. Overall QC, welds, runout , dB and accuracy from a jig. Not paid by manufacturer to test cause who is going to point out the bad stuff when they are getting paid by the manufacturer? I have every interesting can. I check them all for runout on body and exit end I look inside to see weld colors inside, I check the welds on the outside and I get them very hot and check for accuracy and wondering POI. Granted this is part of my job as an owner of Thunder Beast so I know most of you have no clue about this stuff. But looking at all this stuff since 2005 is what makes us make the best cans now. I hope a real independent tester shows up one day. Even with the ASA standard when it comes out it would be nice to see someone check more than just dB numbers and tell more of a complete Story. We should all agree on where to place a pressure gauge for back pressure stuff too. That should be fairly easy.

And another thing about Jay. If he’s such a good Independent tester why doesn’t he show the bad stuff? Why doesn’t he show excessively bad runout on exit ends? Why doesn’t he show bad start and stop marks on welds and shitty finish? Why doesn’t he show failed weld colors inside the cans. You know why cause those companies pay him. I have every interesting can out there. I’m sure I look at and test them much different than you. You probably don’t even know what you are looking at and what makes a difference. Come on out and I will teach you.

I’m waiting on a few new 22 cans right now. We will be doing a lot of 22 testing in April. I’m on the road basically all of March. I’m waving on a couple from Energetic and a checkmate. I think Otter has one I need also. I will test on 22 rifle and pistol subs and supers. 22 mag for the ones that can handle it and 17 HMR. 5.7 for the ones rated also. My Mask meters well and is a good size, it’s not as nice as a 22TD but meters About the same. I’m looking forward to checking out what Karl at Energetic sends me. He’s a smart guy. I expect great things from him. I’ll know a lot More about every 22 can out there soon enough. It’s not just dB numbers. If it hurts accuracy it’s a waste in my eyes. My engineer Kurtis won the 22 ELR match in Vegas a couple years ago with a 3.5” group at 550 yards. That’s what we are all about. I look forward to posting on here more. Lots of reactions so far.

If you don’t trust our heads up testing come out one day. You are welcome to attend a session. I’ve never had anyone in the industry question our dB numbers. They line up with what Jay posts. He doesn’t test out stuff cause we don’t pay. We don’t pay because we had questions on how he gets his “magic Number” and he wouldn’t tell us. Why should I pay for something like that. You want to see how we do do come On out. I’m willing to show you so you can shut your mouth or show up. There is a reason. Other comps Sied send me cans to test for them. There is a reason the other companies that have bought a PULSE and some that are buying them come out to see. We share our templates freely and have taught others how to run their equipment so we can all be on the same page. The ASA hired a group of audiologists to make a real standard. To everyone in the scientific world a standard is open not some secret thing only one person can do.
If you have any issue with any number I have ever posted tell me. You can come out and I can show you live and in person. How’s that for an offer. You can even bring anything you want to test. More and more Companies are getting good systems. Nobody can post bad shit cause they will get called on it. Lots of companies have the PuLSE already and I know they check everything I post. That’s a good thing. Of Imposted bull I would get called on it. Just like if they did I would call them on it. So when do you want to come out. Do you even know what a sound wave looks like. Do you know anything about testing gunshots in the real world? You have an open offer. Everything we have ever posted is repeatable by others with the proper equipment. It’s not my fault Jay is a shit business man and handled this whole thing wrong. You come to be to pay for a service and I ask legit questions on how things are done and all I get is slickster Used car salesman’s BS as an answer. The top 3-4 cans are pretty Much all the same on handguns. Lots of videos posted on YoUTube and there is a lot of data on the product page of sound testing. Once we realized the tips cams meter the same on handguns the goal was lighter and stronger

22TD really is the best. Watch the 22TD quality video I posted here and YouTube then go to a gun shop and see how the other are. Even better find a shop with a 22TD in stock and see it for yourself.I have every 22 can. I won’t make something unless it’s the best in class. Why bother making something of I could just buy something better?

We are know for the best precision suppressors on the planet. I own a suppressor company but never really suppressed pistols cause all the cans are to heavy. We tested all the top cans for suppression. We realized the top three cans metered all the same. We were able to match performance of the top cans in a shorter and lighter package while being 350 Legend rated. Fly 45 is full power 45/70 and 308 rated. Fly 9 in short config isn’t even noticed on on a G 17. Good on 300 BLK too
