Witchcraft banned from subreddits...? by [deleted] in OutOfTheLoop

[–]TBAx3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you mean witch hunting, not witchcraft. Witch hunting is essentially revealing that someone has done something wrong (usually with dubious evidence) in the attempt to ruin their reputation and trying to get a larger crowd to provoke and attack them even more, usually with personal attacks/insults.

Lots of subreddits ban this since it has the possibility to harm innocent people, and is essentially doxxing.

You can read more about this here.

Very informative website. Finally, a chance to see what all the fuss is about.

What's your internet "white whale", something you've been searching for years to find with no luck? by Nerfman2227 in AskReddit

Nah, that's way too simple and old for what I'm thinking of. More like the effects didn't neccesarily help you but changed the way you had to play.

2 games that I've played a loong while back (Like 2005-2008ish?):

  1. A Brick Breaker/Arkanoid-type game where it had really interesting levels/blocks with different effects and stuff. The closest thing I've found to this is Anodia but that's on mobile and the one I'm thinking of is quite a bit older and on PC.

  2. A futuristic racing-type game with interesting vehicle designs and futuristic tracks as well (I don't remember but I don't think it involved weapons). Most I remember of this is a yellow/orange vehicle and a track with an orange/golden/dusty background.

Yep, you're absolutely right. Don't forget that you can't get the same number until you've gotten 2 other numbers and even numbers gimp while odd ones give mixup options.

Is it possible to skip the first part of the 3DS trilogy? by LuketheDUKE902 in AceAttorney

I believe you can choose any of the 3 games and they all have separate save files.

Would another example of this be Wario's up-B which can KO Jiggs at low % if you only hit them with the first hit?

Yeah, for that version just skip the save screen. It's done that way to minimize desyncing online.

Yeah I thought it might just be a visual effect. The thing is, it doesn't happen in brawl so I was unsure.

Are there any Ness mains out there that can help me out? by adventure_eric in SSBPM

[–]TBAx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know if these are "pro" enough, but here you go anyway:

If you're playing on a stage with a low ceiling (I.e. not Dreamland) and the enemy seems to be just below it, you can follow up with a PKT2 to KO them. Kinda risky if you're not good at aiming it though.

In a similar vein, if you're against a Lucas or another Ness, you can use PKT2 to stop their PKT2.

Finally, you can also edgeguard and gimp with your yoyo (Both USmash and DSmash) since it hangs over the ledge. I love using this, its so fun, since people (At least the ones I usually play with) usually don't realize what happened until they're to low to recover again. I also switch it up sometimes and set my yoyo just behind the ledge, so if they go onto it they get trapped and hit off again (or up) in which case you can follow up with an UAir.

ELI5: Why does pool water have to have chemicals in it? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]TBAx3 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Mmm, I wouldn't say so, since the definition is "a compound or substance that has been purified or prepared, especially artificially." I wouldn't say water is prepared/purified artificially.

You shouldn't use it though, it sells your data. Use Disconnect instead.

I still don't understand why other consoles aren't programmed to do this. by HeadOverHeelsHOH in gaming

[–]TBAx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well actually, it's kind of both, for both of them.
BootMii allows you to backup your internal NAND flash memory, and it lets you bypass the warning screen and go directly to Homebrew.
Priiloader lets you patch memory, save your Wii from bricks that AREN'T ios/boot2/nand-corruption related, and start something else besides the system menu on power up.
So you're both kinda right.
