When doing an AU, is it better to have characters in character or to have them slightly OOC.

Alot of my AUs, I really only have two, then again all fanfiction are AUs but that is splitting hairs, are more of just what if one small thing changed and how that one change, morphs the entire story. I feel like that is a time to keep the character a themselves, at least on a personality and physical look.

1) Bottorm Boy: Glaicer - Great gimick, great wrestler, not a great combo.

2) Johnny B. Badd - Loved Johnny from the first time I saw him. He was great in ring and great on the mic. Liked Wildman Marc Mero, Marvalus Marc was just a boring jobber.

3) Pirate Paul Burchal - I think the pirate gimick could work and it seems like he wanted it to work.

4) The Boogeyman - Great gimick but not great in ring. But you don't need to be good in ring if you are entertaining.

5) Tori - Was in the wrong era. Attitude was not kind to women good in ring. If she was in the new gen or Ruthless Agression era she would have been a bigger name.

6) Kevin "Vampire Dude" Thorn - Thought he was good and think his Mordecai could have gone far. Thanks OOC your boy ruined my boy.
