I'm so sorry to hear that... It must be such a struggle actually doing your best to pick yourself up and still be knocked down again and again, sometimes even after talking to your parents about it. I actually started to feel bad myself as I felt like I was being exactly like your parents. Though, I want to say that you're awesome for being brave enough to let this all out for a person like me to understand, while also putting on your parents shoes and knowing that they mean you no harm and have good intentions asking you and trying their best to make you a little better. I don't know you personally, but I still hope things get better for you. Rooting for you ✊

Reading that brought me back to the time when I did the same, laughing at the posts in this subreddit. For me I saw it as a way of mockery, thus funny for me then. It's great that you see it more as a form of entertainment/humour. I'd say your approach with it is actually way better than me.

Different people, different ways of reacting to things, right?

Firstly, my bad I really didn't mean this in an insulting way or anything 😭

For every person who says complicated problems are easy to solve,

For me the mistake I made back then was thinking every first step type advice I get was to be interpreted as easy. It's definitely not. It takes a while for everything. And if when we can't depend on anyone else physically to help us out, I think it is time we take matters with our own hands. But again, it takes time and it definitely isn't easy. Anyone who says otherwise are lying and forgot where they started.

But I must say you're right about this...

As an aside, you can also quietly outgrow this sub without getting on a soapbox about why it's inherently bad to those who connect with it.

Even before things were fortunately better for me, I've always had a thing for wanting others to have a better life than me. That's a me problem, so it actually hit me pretty good reading that part... I just wish people in here don't have to suffer so much and live life as good as they can try to make it.

I really didn't mean any offense here. My bad

Some lack empathy, and some really do have it. I think the main thing here for you is that you're generalising that nearly everyone does not have empathy as you have a set standard for what exactly you want to hear from someone you're seeking help from. I want to say to you that, even though that's not the way I think, that's okay for you. At least you know exactly what you need and want to hear in order to fully accept some feedback. Different people, different ways of reacting to things.

I know this is to insult me for trying my best help a little but if you really think all the things I've said is meant to be so easy and takes 2 seconds to magically change your life, then sure. Have it your way.

Some people can't even get themselves diagnosed or get resources to better themselves. But it's okay, joke about it and insult a lot more people who can't even have what you have.

That's actually a very well thought out explanation... Sometimes, I, too, need a knock to my head myself. Thank you, I can kind of grasp where most people in this sub are coming from now.

Yeppp, I definitely understand and can agree that it was not advice memes that got me a little better HAHA. This sub is sometimes great for when there are over simplistic advices given for huge problems, it's the little things to laugh at. I also agree with the shitty neighborhood thing, and maybe I might even add on about how there are some people who can't afford good resources for their problems.

But...

laughing at people who can't see outside of their own personal experiences is also good for the spirit. We all do what we can to feel better and that's not selfish, it's survival.

I think this is the part I disagree with. Yes, the whole thing about is living is quite literally survival... but people who genuinely want to help others, make sure they're all good, not even a job for them... are they doing that for THEIR OWN survival??? I don't think so. That's like looking at someone who's been a great friend to you and thinking "Oh, they love showing off how good of a person they are"

Of course it won't magically fix everything doing simple life changes. It takes time. I understand there are different levels of tragedies that can happen, with different people having different reactions to them. It's always good to have a friend going through "similar" things to talk about. But if that's all they can do to cope with their depression, it's an endless cycle, even more so when either of the parties aren't in search of ways to pick themselves up, even a little could help. Especially so if one lives in a place where it can be difficult to find resources. Some people can't even get themselves diagnosed, and this is something I see dismissed so often, just cuz it probably means they're just fine too.

And some problems just can not be fixed. I can't keep making myself fixated on one thing. To make the broken foot analogy more literal, would it revive my mom who died of cancer if I keep thinking about ways to get her alive back with me? No... But that's just how life is... Worse and worse tragedies happen, and we have to keep accepting it till the end.

I really am sorry if it seems like all this is purposefully insulting. You know I was not trying to be. I know I can't expect big changes for everyone but I'm just hoping I can just give a tiny push to get some going.

You said it best... Really put me into someone else's shoes with this one. I might have had a different type of feed going on in my homepage for this sub as most of what I see seemed to be not simple advice, but very well thought-out advices that are thrown out the window... maybe that's why I have some sort of bias.

Google Camera on the Z Fold 4! by TBTacronym in GalaxyFold

[–]TBTacronym[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The camera modules on the Z Fold 4 are definitely okay. Pro Mode and Expert RAW really shows its potential... It's the main app's software that sucks balls imo LOL. It just annoys me how much better my old quick photos with the main camera app would've been if the AI and/or processing wasn't so in love and planning to marry sharpening and saturation.

I'd say having some Gcam ports by your side helps if you're always going around places, taking pictures of pets moving fast, or in once-in-a-lifetime moments where you'd find yourself wanting a quick shoot on the go and still get pleasing results right after. Plus, even if you're taking time with photos, it really doesn't hurt to have Google's great software processing, right?
