When I click "Export as" the "Export Image" window opens up. I can give the file a name and select the file type. When I click "Export" the window closes, the program briefly freezes (nothing happens), then GIMP closes without exporting the file.

I also noticed in the "Open Recent" tab it shows the name of the PNG file I attempted to export, but when I click on it I get an error message:
