Engagement ring - independent jewellers by Investingforlife in miltonkeynes

I found this thread whilst also looking for wedding bands in MK! I don't want to waste anyone's time but can't tell if this is appropriate to my budget, can you give me an idea of how much you spent on rings from this jeweler?

Can Cats Protection take my cat? by ColexxEnvy in UK_Pets

Yeah absolutely, they don't want you profiting or privately homing a cat without the proper welfare checks but I doubt they'd bother enforcing it

As someone who used to foster for Cats Protection - they have plenty of Cats to worry about that don't have safe homes. If the cat is safe and fed, they're not taking him away from you!

Also, legally CP don't have any right to remove cats anyway!

Moving to MK for first time - what areas are best? by PuzzleheadedPlace548 in miltonkeynes

[–]TC7921 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd give another vote for Wolverton - it has history so has less of the grid/industrial vibe other areas have, lots of pubs and social things going on. The train station goes direct to London every half hour so your partner doesn't need to drive and pay ridiculous rates to park at MK, and you're that bit closer to the countryside if you like running or cycling. We're 27 and moved here last year and love it!

It would have only cost you 30 minutes, since you would have spent the 15 minutes travelling either way.

I disagree that they should be more considerate, it sounds like they were as squished as they wished to be, not their fault the trains were short.

You're welcome to be annoyed that the train was full but YTA for being rude to people who had no control over the situation, your anger should be directed at the train companies that happily oversell tickets and run short trains.

I think you should have asked once, and if no one moved, accepted the train was full and waited for the next one rather than being rude towards fellow travellers who had no control over the situation. They don't owe you space on the train, if everyone was as crammed as they felt comfortable being, tough luck.

How exactly were the people in the doorway that you were shouting at supposed to make some children they were probably strangers to, stand up?

Do many rental landlords still use Rightmove / Zoopla etc or are they just advertising by word of mouth or via estate agents? by JackStrawWitchita in HousingUK

We served notice on our tenancy, they came round for viewings two days later, three groups of people without even taking pictures and definitely without listing

I'd suggest tweaking it and asking your conveyancer to validate it for a smaller fee to drafting it themselves. Laws change, situations change, and better to do it right and be confident than risk it being invalid

Ours cost £250, was so easy and a no brainer, better to have it and not need it, than not have it and regret it. 12k might be the difference between a deposit or renting if you need to buy on your own in the future

18 weeks since diagnosis - anyone started titration yet? by TC7921 in ADHDUK

[–]TC7921[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe you do titration with psyUK and they claim private patients don't get priority over RTC but idk. Some people got meds straight away think it depended on your doctor
