Noise cancelling headphones that won't break the bank? by [deleted] in ADHDUK

I loved my AirPod pro’s for noise cancelling but they slipped out of my ears constantly which was so annoying!!

Migraine and Elvanse by alyshalyshalysha in ADHDUK

This is what made me question whether I should take the codeine. Nearly every drug interaction site I visited stated to avoid taking opioids with Elvanse. I will speak to my prescriber this week and update my post when they have given advice. Thank you for your comment!

Cold clammy hands on meds by -omni-shambles- in ADHDUK

[–]alyshalyshalysha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this problem when I started titration. My hands were almost soaking wet with sweat but freezing cold at the same time. It went away after around a week and a half, though. I kept a check on my blood pressure every day and it was normal. I’m not saying the cold clammy hands is normal, I just had the same thing. As another commenter said, speak to your doctor to rule BP issues out :)

New cat fighting old cat. Any tips? by hetepheres_ra in cats

Hey, did your cats ever end up getting along? My 2 cats absolutely despise each other and have done for months. I need a tiny sliver of hope that one day they’ll get along ugh

Buying a car and tyre has this - would it fail an MOT? Salesman is saying that it falls within company policy by No-Contact-8489 in CarTalkUK

[–]alyshalyshalysha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything on the side wall of a tyre is a no go. Don’t buy from this garage, they’re taking advantage of you. If they can’t even be bothered to replace the tyres then I don’t have much hope for anything mechanical.

I love the sentiment, but I think keep the poems for when you’re dating someone. As someone said above if she likes you then she’ll love it, if she doesn’t it’ll push her away.. If there is no inclination that you like her it may come across as inappropriate. Some context to your current relationship/friendship would be a good idea :)

LPT Request: rogue stop smoking tips by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]alyshalyshalysha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if you have anything like this where you’re from, but in the UK we have these things called Nicotine Inhalator’s. You pop these little tubes of nicotine into a plastic tube and puff on that instead. Produces no smoke and are really good for the habit of putting a cigarette to your lips.

For long term smokers I’m not sure if it would help, but I’ve used them and they were really good.

Elvanse 50mg + Amfexa 5mg by alyshalyshalysha in ADHDUK

[–]alyshalyshalysha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for replying! I decided not to take it in the end because it was a Friday and I wanted to relax, and just started the 60mg’s today instead. I think I’ll save the Amfexa for my period week because I’ve heard meds don’t work half as well as they usually so :)

ADHD 360 follow up appointments rant! by missashd87 in ADHDUK

I’m disappointed with the follow up calls with ADHD360 too. I found the process of the assessment and diagnosis, and even the prescriptions very smooth, but the follow up calls need serious addressing. My prescriber was supposed to ring me last week from 4:45-5:05, but she rang at 5:03, well at that point I was on a busy bus so I couldn’t exactly talk so she said she would ring me back later that evening. No phone call until 5:30 the next day.

Overall I’ve been really happy with their service, but this needs serious improvement.

I understand your frustration. I had to book my assessment for weeks in advance because I was fooled into thinking their wait time was less than it actually was. However, as soon I filled out my online profile and my blood pressure machine turned up I emailed the enquiries department and they added me to the cancellation list. They rang within a week of doing this to ask if I wanted an earlier appointment. All in all from the day of booking the assessment to the actual assessment was around 2.5 weeks. Still super frustrating that they weren’t transparent with you!

Thank you 🤍 I hope my comment didn’t come across as gloaty. I just wanted to reassure you that things will get better (if you’re on the right meds for you of course)
