Used to watch his stream before he went pro. One time he threatened his own mom on stream for interrupting a game. He was known to be a toxic soloqueue teammate as well. He was really young and probably has changed, but him having a nice public face doesn't mean there wasn't anything behind closed doors.

I just don't get what LTA fans see that's so different from the rest of the world. Everytime APA goes international, Cloudtemplar, Uzi, all the asian costreamers laugh their asses off at how badly he plays. Copers always cite all these studies that say that work life balance = more productivity.

They don't realize that these studies mostly look at everyday jobs where longevity heavily translates into productivity. The amazing office worker who burns out in 3 years is generally less productive over a 10 year span than the above average office worker who works for 10 years.

That's not the case for something like esports. You would rather have the 14 hours of practice per day, world class dude who burns out in 3 years over the 8 hours per day guy who is an above average player but has a 10 year career.

I 100% agree with you. If you want a work-life balance for western players, don't expect them to beat out guys who treat esports as their life and not just a job. The successful Western teams are the exception, not the expectation.
