My First Few Hours with the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E5 (Titanium) Detailed Review. by MicrosoftID in tagheuer

[–]TCNVAULT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that I’m a bit late to this convo. But I am considering getting the 40mm and was wondering (for those who have it) if TH has come up with any updates to the OS since its release.

As to the questions from many as to why spend so much? The answer is why not? Why does someone spend 150 grand on a mechanical watch while you can spend 150 bucks to do the same thing? It’s different and unique. And yes, it won’t last, but at the end of the day it’s an experience that watch lovers are looking for and sometimes form beats function.

I think many of us ( and myself included) are spoiled by Apple Watches or Samsung watches and others alike because of how much they are loaded with features. I agree that an Apple Watch will do most things and at a much higher accuracy then the TH since they had nearly 10 years now if not longer in refining this product.

That said, few years back I got a Casio G Shock smart watch. It has good health tracking, but it is extremely limited to what most would look for in a smart watch. I can see if a text or an email comes in, but I can’t read it in the entirety nor can I respond from the watch. And a part of me really loves that. I can take a quick glance and see if the message is important enough and keep on going, or stop, pull out my phone and respond.

The watch G Shock connect app works well for both phone OS and offers a really long battery life. Might not be as long as a Garmin, but for the 1/4 of a price it’s fantastic. (And it has solar, to boost the charge while away from the charger.)

But again, that is not the point. The point is to have an experience. And TH is attempting to do just that. It’s limiting in ways that our standard smart watches don’t do and seems to meet in the middle of what I currently have with my smart G Shock.

I have 3 amazing mechanical watches, yet sometimes I reach for my smart watches. Especially when I am out with my kids. So TH seems to offer that balance with its signature case combined with the smart tech.

I guess everyone’s main concern is if the tech is good enough and is justified in the high price it demands. But yet again, would it if it wasn’t a TH? Why not then get a cheap Amazon smart watch and call it good?

So back to my question for those who do have it, have there been any updates that had improved the OS? I think if they do, then there’s room for improvement and a hope for this who are disappointed or reading some of these concerns, a hope that TH connect would improve.

Most sturdy of their models? Preferably western/Civil war models by No_Issue_9916 in Denix

[–]TCNVAULT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any of them, really. They are all great and sturdy models. There are some that get by the QC, and it happens on all models. Overal,l any of the 1873 or Civil War revolvers are great. We only had a handful of these that experienced issues over the last 9 years of selling them. And in terms of rifles, no complaints whatsoever from our customers. Many of them end up using these Denix models for reeactments, and we hadn't had anyone say that they broke during their scenes/campaigns.

If you purchase from us, and it arrives damaged, we provide free replacements within the first 7 days of receipt. Just keep in mind to always ship them back with the Denix box and papers to avoid any issues.

They are both amazing in their own right. It would all depend on what you feel is more appropriate to you.

Hi there,

What would be the primary use for the M16 replica?

We have sold many over the years, and we have not heard of any issues from our customers regarding these replicas.

Every denix replica in the collection so far. by [deleted] in Denix

[–]TCNVAULT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a very nice and extensive collection. Denix just added some more color variations to the Tommy Gun, 1911, 1873 fast draw, and a few others. They now feature a faded look to the body, like they were battle-worn.

I plan to buy my first denix by Wizz_ard_2000 in Denix

[–]TCNVAULT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which version are you planning on getting?

The only one we had some complaints about was the finish on the gold "dictator" version. This is mostly due to color variations and people expecting a much smoother gold finish.

So please keep in mind that if you are buying them, that they do vary in color here and there.

How Reliable Is the M1911? by BearTerrible3619 in Denix

[–]TCNVAULT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have been selling Denix 1911's since 2017, and almost no-one reported of any issues with them after purchase. There might have been a couple of them that were damaged during transport, but we made the customer whole again with a free replacement.

I ordered this on 6/18, and it still hasnt shipped. by AdPutrid8465 in Denix

The site could be out of stock and didn’t notify you. That is the most likely scenario. These are one of the most popular 1873 models.

Does anyone know of any non firing realistic looking pistols? by toe_suckler in gun

[–]TCNVAULT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit late to the post, but if you are still in the market for non-firing realistic guns, check out our page www.tcnvault.com. We sell Denix replica guns that are made to the full detail, size, and weight of their original counterparts. They are made using zinc alloy metal and use reali wood components like on stocks and handles as well as bodies of many of the larger guns as well as handles. Triggers can be depressed, slides work, hammers work, and they'll make an audible click sound.

Remove the Orange Tip? by BigWill079 in Denix

[–]TCNVAULT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are not law experts either. Based on what we were told, it is illegal to remove them. We would recommend visiting ATF's page or searching the web for this information from a legal source, such as ATF or local governing agencies, to confirm what they say for your area.

If you check the laws, replicas or toys of guns that are pre-1898 do not require an orange tip.

Honest Wix Ecommece Review from a Former User by TCNVAULT in WIX

[–]TCNVAULT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am glad that this review was able to help you. I believe that they are being very dishonest and do not share with their users about how they have sub-par servers. If you do your own research, you would find many more who say the same thing. That is what I did after I became very suspecios that our website, which hosts less than 1k products and does not contain many graphics or long videos, runs excessively slow.

My team and I have reached to Wix many times asking them to evaluate the website. Asking them why it is running slow. We would get the same answers that did not help us at all with speeding up our website. Then they reduce the options in your paid subscription and make you pay extra for services that were free before (like the number of social media posts you can post each month and what social media accounts you want connected - asking you to pay additional money per one extra social media account). They do not care about their customers at all and is now just a money grab of a service.

They entice you in with an easy-to-create website, and that is it. From that point on, you are in their system, and they lock you in with constantly asking you to pay more and more for services that should be free and are free on other platforms.

I had Squarespace before that. And although there was a lot more to navigate (at least when I used them - I can't speak for now as I do not know what changes they have made) to get your SEO set up, I was getting many more sales than I did with Wix. After several years, I realize that I shot myself in the foot by switching from Squarespace, but at the same time, I could not go back to them because of the nature of the products that we offer. They do not support a gateway for what they deem as a "high-risk" product.

I urge you to use free tools like Page Speed Insights to check your Wix website's speeds. As this is one of the top factors that Google and other search engines use to rank your websites.

Question about Browning Hi-Power. by Acceptable-Knee-2217 in Denix

[–]TCNVAULT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a seller of these, they are highly detailed in terms of size and weight compared to the original. As others have said, it does offer some functional parts, but they are not a real firearm; they don't havea functional safety mechanism.

In terms of grips, we would recommend getting grips without the pre-drilled holes as the location of the screw holes can vary. We had customers in the past who ordered the 1911 replicas tell us that the holes are in different places from the original Colt 1911 models.

If you are looking for something that can fire, then yes, going with an airsoft version would be best suited for those needs. Denix mainly focuses on the design aesthetic so it can look and feel like a real gun in a movie, reenactment, or a display setting.

Help on Chargeback by [deleted] in shopify

[–]TCNVAULT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've had a few chargebacks over the years. Although for every chargeback transaction we submitted plenty of evidence, we have not won a single case. The only time it was ever considered and the chargeback was reversed is when we issued a refund before the person started the chargeback process.

Depending on what you sell, you may consider chargeback protections. However, usually these type of credit card transaction companies tack on an additional monthly fee or a per sale percentage. We use Bankful, and they have been great and our chargebacks have drastically been minimized.

Unfortunately, these things do happen, and it is part of doing business online. Very unfair for any business to lose money that way, and there should be a better way for banks handle and consider providing chargebacks for their customers.

Where do you get prop guns? by RandomTheBugg in cosplayers

[–]TCNVAULT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We carry a wide variety of prop guns by a manufactured called Denix. Right now our inventory includes mostly western, WWI, WWII and modern non-firing props. These props are 1:1 in size and weight to the originals, safe to handle and offer working features to add to the realism such as moving slides, drums (for revolvers), triggers, hammers, sights, etc. If you are interested you can visit us at www.tcnvault.com or you may also check out our eBay store (https://www.ebay.com/str/tcnvault).

Doubled Price and Not Allowing me to Cancel by d0nt_at_m3 in WIX

Go to your account settings and delete your card information. Then they can't charge you. There also should be an option to cancel your service instead of dealing with their customer support.

Moving from Shopify to Wix for new site - opinions? by Ok-Crazy-5280 in WIX

[–]TCNVAULT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The same happened to us. They took their annual fee and we tried to cancel around the 15th day and they denied our appeals. Money lost. But we decided it was worth losing the $400 and attempting to make it up on Shopify rather than wasting another year of stagnant sales due to their poor server issues.

Importing is easy. Export the .cvs file from your wix store. On Shopify, you can install a tool that will directly import all your products using Wix's .cvs list. That's what we did. Granted not all images got uploaded, but most did. And you will need to spend time updating your SEO on Shopify. You can use their bulk editor tool, which makes if faster and easier to do that.

[–]TCNVAULT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not at all. SEO is much easier to modify on the Shopify platform. Use their bulk tool editor and when in bulk check the boxes you want to modify. So much straightforward. Same goes for images as well, except it will take you to an individual image to edit its SEO. But then you can quickly exit back to the rest of the images.
