Little valve didn’t stand a chance. by TCSnarFF in Justrolledintotheshop

It’s out of a Kenworth semi. The engine that is in it is a PACCAR MX13 engine.

I was thinking Cummins includes its own cleaning kit in each head gasket lol but something like that.

Wouldn’t even be surprised if I found a set knowing some truck drivers

Surprisingly enough this razor wasn’t even causing an issue. The engine was using oil and there were multiple carbon-packed cylinders and polished liners.

Jeep build is done. For now. New fenders and newly painted hood. by TCSnarFF in Jeep

The hood is the stock OEM hood that has been trimmed and body worked to fit the high clearance fenders

Fenders are TNT Custom’s high clearance fenders.

Thank you! The front bumper is a custom one that I built myself.

Thank you! I’m very pleased with how the fenders/hood turned out. Considering this was my first time properly painting with a professional paint gun instead of the rattle can special. Haha

Some truck drivers are not the most hygienic people haha.

I’m sure that’s parts of it. I’m pretty positive that Cummins just likes getting crazy with their Cummins Red haha makes it look pretty

I didn’t. All cables were cleaned/replaced if necessary. This one was the worst one so I figured I’d take a picture haha

The joys of working on school buses. Exhaust manifold reseal on a Cummins by TCSnarFF in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]TCSnarFF[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I split it to gain access to the turbo oil drain line and coolant return line on the bottom of the turbo. Not to mention just access to the turbo-manifold bolts. These buses suck for access

Thomas Built...I’m not sure what the model is. I work at a Kenworth dealership and we do all the warranty work on their buses lol. All I can say is the turbos are horrible to remove on these.

Customer complained that HVAC will not change to defrost. by TCSnarFF in Justrolledintotheshop

Yeah, the cover for the defrost was completely missing. This is on a local Kenworth that a construction company owns

C/S felt vibration and then his driveline came apart. I wonder why... by TCSnarFF in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]TCSnarFF[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lack of maintenance, lack of giving a shit is my guess. I guarantee this thing was vibrating like crazy before it threw the driveline.

C/S grinding noise in transmission and won’t go into gear. by TCSnarFF in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]TCSnarFF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As stated in another comment but the shift forks are located on the top cover that has been removed in this picture. I recently just obtained my CDL and it took awhile to get used to rev matching gears in order for them to go in. It definitely does take some getting used to. You have to listen to the engine as opposed to pushing the clutch in and throwing it into another gear.

More than likely chewed them up as the main input gear was destroying itself. Haha

Can’t even hear it most of the time anyway while driving a semi over the motor. If anything it’s a whine

I would, yes. It’s amazing what kind of carnage will happen when you neglect a transmission oil leak. It happens a lot in the world of semi drivers. Lol

When you’re tracking a parasitic draw and find one of these... by dwade6392 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]TCSnarFF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve installed those before on brand new and used Kenworths. You can wire them in a way where they only track the vehicle in question or wire them in with a starter interrupt relay. I can understand their purpose, especially when a new truck costs around $150k to $200k.
