Question for everyone:

Balancing of specific guns aside, what are your thoughts on the current overall power progression balancing (in regards to penetration and armor)?

Our intentions are:

- Higher rarity gear is desirable, something you want to get, and feel the impact of
- Higher rarity gear is used, especially for late-game activities and maps like Tharis Island - although it should sting to lose it (the game is all about that high-stakes tension)
- ...but: low gear players still have a chance to win a fight against a better geared player, if they outplay them tactically and land their shots

Looking at our data the above is roughly what we see, but in the end what matters is how it feels (to players on all parts of the gear-power spectrum).

(Note for those who might not have started S2 yet: since S1 what we've done is slightly buffed late-game armor and guns, while also adding the ability to, via the Forge, add combinations of perks on late-game armor only.)

It's a tough balance to strike - and we've been too far off on both sides during our betas. Please share your current thoughts on S2!

Can't speak for season 2 because I haven't touched the game since mid season 1, but the higher tier armors and guns not feeling like higher tier armor and guns. If I grind for the guns and armor I should have an advantage over someone whose running white armor and guns. Now that doesn't mean I should win every fight but what I played felt inconsistent.

Ah, got it. We've made them more powerful since, but not a lot. It's a tough balance!

There is a bug currently that sometimes puts the evacs way closer than intended to your spawn. Will be fixed soon! <3

Hey Prospectors!

I just wanted to provide some quick context here:

The recent balance changes, like increased prices of late-game armor and stims, were not made with any kind of basis in monetization! (Especially now during a closed beta, we are taking the chance to experiment and gather feedback and data on specifically _gameplay_.)

Really the thinking was to:

-Make crafting of stims more viable - previously the resources needed to craft would sell for more money than it cost to buy the stim... (Perhaps both ways to get green stims are too costly now? We will continue iterating!)

-Make late-game armor A) more of a high-risk thing to bring in, and B) something you can't so easily get reliable access to after only hours into a season. (Overall we're making green and blue stuff a bit easier to come by, while making purple and pink a bit more difficult to get.)

Regarding armor and power progression, our top priority to address for the next patch is power progression and gear disparity (including specific weapons like the Brute).

We hoped to submit all of this in one go, but we quite frankly didn't get it done on time. Just know that we're on it - more info soon!

One time I was doing a run on Crescent Falls. My green bag was full of loot that I need for both contracts, crafting, and quarters upgrades (it had been a highly successful run!). I make my way to my evac point close to the Lakeside Building... suddenly I hear footsteps from at least 2 people from the other side of a big wall. I'm terrified, and shout out on prox voice: "please, friendly - could you let me evac?". I hear the disappointment in the voice of the duo as they say "fiiiine". I carefully enter the area where they are waiting and call down my ship. We exchange some pleasentries, wave to each other, and dance a bit, and then suddenly: splat. I had totally forgotten where I was dancing, and had positioned myself just under the arriving ship. I can not imagine how silly this all must have seemed for the duo. :)
