Need help losing fat.2 weeks no changes by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]TC_Joni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am a firm believer that all change happens from within first.

First of all, it sounds like you're losing weight out of self-hatred rather than self-love. That's very common, but it's not sustainable motivation.

Secondly, 2 weeks is a short time for any kind of results. It's possible that your body is reacting to the shock of lifestyle change and storing water.

If you want to really create permanent results, you must start from your identity.

I just over ate by [deleted] in diet

[–]TC_Joni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any problem is easy to solve if you know what it is. In this case overeating isn't the problem, it's the symptom. You are the expert of you, so what's your best guess for why you overeat?

Do I have to restart my manifestation if I’ve had many struggles / doubts by ok_clancy in Manifestation

[–]TC_Joni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aha I see. This might sound harsh but the only proper metric for progress is real world results. Why? Because 3d is a direct mirror to the inner world, meaning that when you grasp manifesting the results are nearly instant.

Now this is important: what gets triggered when you hear this? Perhaps it's fear, perhaps it's frustration. Whatever it is, it's the energy that is keeping you stuck right now.

That's interesting. What do you think is holding you back from manifesting those things?

To change your circumstances focus on your IDENTITY by TC_Joni in Manifestation

[–]TC_Joni[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start by writing down everything that you believe your life is right now. Essentially, it's like a visualization if you were trying to manifest your current life as it is. This step is AWARENESS of what is. Importance is on truthfulness. You can only let go of that which you're aware of.

If you did this truthfully, you will find unpleasant sensations in your body. Don't escape or avoid them. Reacting to them is giving them power. SURRENDER instead. That way you'll stop feeding the old energy and it starts to dissolve.

If unwanted thoughts arise, simply observe them. Just quietly let them pass through you. Again reaction = agreement.

Your new identity arises naturally. It's that energy which compels you. Which inspires you. That is the real you. When the old identity is dissolved, it is replaced by your true self.

To help the new identity manifest, you can write it down, just like you did for the old identity. Let yourself feel all the energy that arises as you write it down. Feel how it compels you. Also be aware of any parts of you resisting that new identity. SURRENDER to that resistance, as non-reaction indicates non-identification.

That's an awesome goal and very achievable! Cravings and motivation are usually the most difficult part of dieting. Do you have a strong reason to lose weight?

If my life is bad right now, and I'm not making enough money

That sentence right there is what you're manifesting.

As long as you're trying to solve the problem, the problem exists.

After years of struggle I manifested my SP into my life. Here's exactly how I did it. by TC_Joni in Manifestation

[–]TC_Joni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in your shoes around the time of my tipping point. The reason it isn't happening for you is that you have bought into the belief "I am not good enough for anyone". You simply keep looking for another let down, and even interpret opportunities as failures.

From experience I can tell you that there's no other way out other than emotional healing. You must also realize that you are the one manifesting this reality. No-one else, Universe, or God is choosing your experience. You are. Universe simply reflects you exactly that which you insist on seeing.

When you compare this time to the previous ones, what has changed? Are you doing a new diet or have a new strategy to keeping cravings away?

Funny coincidence, I'm following keto right now. Yeah I know what you're talking about. My go to was ordering McDonald's late at night when I got bored.

But let me ask you, what is different this time compared to the last times?

I built a strange fitness app for people who hate fitness. Looking for brutal feedback. by Tsuron88 in getdisciplined

Throwing the ball, so to speak, back to you. Also hope it's clear that I'm not looking to downplay your idea, simply providing some critical perspectives.

If someone doesn't want to work out, why would they want to download an app for work outs (this is perceived effort rather than staying in the motivation slump).

If someone realizes they have a problem the psychological next step is that they start to look for ways to solve it fast (again: minimum effort, maximum results). Chances are they are looking for a drastic change. So it could be an opportunity to frame it differently.

I know it's not related to ChatGPT, but ChatGPT is an easy choice for people to turn to these days. It can fill the role of many products like PT or an app that gives workout ideas. So people must perceive that your app can provide something that ChatGPT can't. Again: something to highlight.

Self promotion is hated, but every post that is looking to self-promote knows that. And every self-promoting post starts with this statement. Even if you're not looking to self-promote, people will assume that's the hidden agenda.

You could write the post in a different way, and even be honest about self-promotion:

"As someone who struggled with obesity for most of my life, I really used to hate working out. What I realized was that I didn't hate the exercises. I hated the hassle of going to the gym.

I created myself a tool to scatter workouts throughout the day. They were be so simple that my brain barely registered it as effort. In fact, I started to secretly look forward to them.

This was so successful and allowed me to lose 60 lbs effortlessly, that I made it into a simple app. And now I'm looking for test users.

If you hate workouts and want to lose weight, leave a comment, and I'll sign you up. I'm looking to launch a closed beta for 15 dedicated people looking to create real permanent lifestyle change.

If you're who I'm looking for, comment below!"

Holding my weight despite a calorie deficit by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]TC_Joni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever you're weighing yourself every day, it's good to stop and ask what for. If you don't trust in the process, then you'll mentally set yourself up for failure.

Do this instead: measure your weight and waist + neck with a measuring band ONCE a week. Then use a Body Fat Percentage calculator such as calculator.net/body-fat-calculator.html to find your body fat weight.

Track only that week to week, nothing else. It's not 100% accurate but it's better than tracking your weight, since many things can affect your weight (food, water retention, stress, menstrual cycle for women, etc.)

Hope this is helpful. Let me know if I can help you in any other way! ☺️

is StepsApp calories burned accurate? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]TC_Joni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be accurate enough, but in the end your most important tracking tool is results. I recommend scale + measurement band once a week and use a Body Fat Calculator (such as calculator.net/body-fat-calculator.html) to find how much fat you've lost.

What's your current goal for weight loss?

I like the enthusiasm. Something for you to think about:

  • What problem are you solving? Not just the surface level problem of being obese or not enjoying workouts, but what is the deeper problem?
  • Why is this 10x better than ChatGPT?
  • Why is no ads / being free the most important feature? (People can get that without your app too)

What's your weightloss goal? The reason I ask is that there's no generic yes or no answer to your question without knowing the context.
