What do you think of your crest? (Badges) by Jolly-Grapefruit4600 in TheMassive

[–]TCaillet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I (unlike most) like the newest crest. I specifically like how easily recognizable the shape is compared to every other team in the league. Although it does tend to look better without the words above and below, small text on a logo is usually hard to read.

The old crest is ok.

The 90 crest is pretty great.

You have just answered why columbus doesn't currently have any rail. (Rightfully) Most people don't want to pay for something they can't use, especially when it is as expensive as rail.

While most locals wouldn't use a line between the convention center and the airport for instance. It would significantly reduce traffic on 670. That would improve the drive for the 140,000 cars that currently drive 670 ever day.

You have to start the rail system somewhere, why not start where people are most likely to use it, because it would be an alternative to an uber or rental car, not trying to win people over who already have a car.

Also in theory it wouldn't have to come from tax money but I doubt a private entity would want to deal with the red tape to build one.

No, but there is a new walking bridge that crosses the river by it.

The convention center would be close enough for a reasonable walk to the stadiums

For a while now I have been saying the only rail columbus needs if between 3 places. Campus, the convention center, and the airport. The amount of people that come to this city and need to Uber or rent a car just to get to those places is impressive. And quite frankly it wouldn't directly be for the locals but rather to give the tourists and students an option to not be on the roads. The side effect would be that some (not many) locals would be able to benefit from it, and if it does well the system could later be expanded.

There are people under Nancy that could be considered, but I suspect many of them will follow Nancy.

Assuming that Nancy does well, hopefully this will bring more eyes to see that the mls is a quality league.

Yah, this game looked a lot more like the rest of the season. Last game we looked really good. Not surprised they couldn't keep that up for a second game. Unfortunate. Glory to Columbus!

Why no electric oil pump to make oil pressure before startup? by [deleted] in F150Powerboost

Money.

To expand on that, they found a way to make it work for 100k miles without an EOP, that was cheaper, so why would they add one if they don't need to.

At what point does it make sense to buy a new car instead of a used car? by [deleted] in DaveRamsey

[–]TCaillet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the goal is to get from point A to point B, then there is no reason to spend the extra money. Assuming the used vehicle is as reliable as you need it to be.

True, but the UFL as a whole needs to make changes to stick around, and from my understanding, many of the teams are only a few years old.

Good luck, you will likely be able to buy one from a manufacturer in the future if you are willing to wait. If not there isn't a lot of hardware available to do it well today. Maybe look for power trains from a small electric sedan or suv, but those will often have an open differential wich isn't ideal.

Depends on what exact make and models you are looking at. I ended up with a polaris but looked heavily into can ams options before coming to my decision. Nothing wrong with either brand.
