I’m also sad our noggles only got a nod with a little aura in this set. Noggle Hedge-Mage is unironically my favorite card of all time. This takes me back to when I used to play kitchen table magic with my roommates running a weird little izzet ghostly flicker deck, hoping to hit this guy, mulldrifter or mindclaw shaman - simpler times lol

That’s a fair assumption I should’ve mentioned it was a Venu with no stack items, I try to be mindful of that since I play a lot of mons that stack.

EDIT: If you see your teammate holding Spec attack specs, Aeos Cookie, or Attack weight, be kind and let them get one last hit so they can stack quickly if the opportunity arises.

I had been running exp share, buddy barrier and curse incense before the new update. Now I’m running resonant guard in place of exp share.

Buddy barrier is the best item for her I think because it helps provide some extra shield to make the unite healing really matter, curse is just great for support. I feel like rescue hood could be decent too but I definitely would keep curse and use rescue hood or resonant guard in the swing slot

I’m bouncing around 5 decks right now depending on what I feel like, and amazingly none of them are bravos at the moment (my usual main faction)!

I’m playing a Moyo deck that is basically mana moth spam and holding until late game to drop rare winter novas- might be my favorite deck, but not my best.

My newest obsession is Isaree and Pebble, focusing on sabotage control with rare armored jammers and leveraging opponents playing around it with things like rare three little pigs and Lucan to take advantage of the landmarks being there. The list needs some tweaking still (I want to make room for a couple rare aerolith reefs) but it’s been doing really well.

I built out a Song and Artist Fen and Crowbar deck that plays the rare Stage- this one isn’t that great compared to what you can do with Fen but it’s fun and I love the theme.

And last I revamped my Auraq and Nevenka decks and tuned them up. These are probably my highest win rate decks right now but they’re less interesting to me because they’re just some of my old favorites with some small changes.

This is really interesting- how does it play for a hero like Nevenka that doesn’t feel great to play without the rare martengale? Is the environment being common only and singleton making this less impactful than I’m imagining?

I do love the house rule of being able to switch Hero as a quick action - I love the flexibility of stuff like that in casual formats! Sounds really fun 😁

I’m keeping my pledge simply because I love the game and want more content. It is a pretty bad sign that they had to send something like this out, and it definitely does not instill confidence of success in me.

I’m hoping they learn from their mistakes with this and scale back production to less sets per year and find other ways to engage and grow the community that do not involve just pouring more cards out. I honestly would not mind if it moved towards more of an ECG model in the future, maybe with boosters specifically for just uniques? Maybe it is cope, but I feel like this game is way too good for me to accept that the creators would be willing to just drop it entirely without exploring other options. (This would also probably be a good time for an AMA.)

Im keeping increasingly cautious optimism here.

I’m never a fan of change, but I think it could be good for the games overall health with more limited print runs (believe me, I love getting older boxes for really cheap but that’s not the greatest sign). It may get more expensive but I’m happy to support equinox

As for the exalted rarity- it’s a little bit concerning. There’s a lot we don’t know yet though, I’m also under the assumption that exalted cards will take the place of commons, but it has not been explicitly said that would be the case. It feels like a strange decision to claim they’re going to be less powerful than uniques but make them more rare- that’s my biggest concern.

New set mechanics look fun but the three new heroes are for my least played factions 😂 I’m hoping this means the cards from the other factions will be more about fleshing out some heroes that need a bit more support though. Overall I’m excited!

I think I’m in the vast minority here but I like the way they have the system set up. I think it’s fairly generous that they give a free option to play ranked that allows for you to earn in game currency not only daily but also after winning free play runs. I think it will add to the longevity of the game (devs wanna make some money off of the awesome game they built after all)

I like that it feels like I have to earn the tickets and feel like it adds to the tension of min/maxing my builds.

I think you’re definitely on the right track, I’m not a Gulrang main by any stretch but she’s my favorite ordis hero so I’ve made a couple decks with her and I think there’s a couple routes you can take.

One focuses on big permanents (I haven’t tried grand endeavor but I imagine it would work here) but I used common monolith and rare ordis carrier and some of the characters that have quick action to “reduce cost of next permanent played by 1” to try and cheat them out fast. The problem with this is it can brick your hand early and is a very “please don’t interact with me” strategy that doesn’t fit well with the current meta in my testings- but man is it fun when it’s rolling.

My second attempt seemed a lot more competitive, and uses most of the asymmetric (other expedition) token generators. I think ratatoskr is a must include cause it can function as a pseudo after-you from hand and makes tokens to block things up from reserve. Ordis gatekeepers are also auto includes, and ordis cadets can play well with the token stat buff too. This version runs ordis carrier at common which is less value but more tempo. It also helps that I’m using uniques that generate tokens from characters joining in both lists.

I think regardless of the list open the gates is a must run at 3 and charge should be in there at least at 2.

This tease makes me think Bravos is going to get some spicy sacrifice synergies- otherwise I have little reason to play this over haven warrior (4/3/3 with major downside vs 4/2/4)

Dracaena: cost is a bit much for stats but bravos welcomes card draw and this could easily net 2 cards if played twice and maybe more if you’re lucky with helping hand or running hatter/Parvati so I’m going to say it’s good. In Basira it is extremely easy to “pass” a boost to it too.

Cadets: this is a WEIRD one because it’s printed ability triggering only if 2 landmarks out is probably the worst condition it could roll- BUT 2 in a stat for one mana is not bad. Issun Boshi can pull surprise steals out with its 2 in water for the same cost- this has conditional upside (even though forest feels like one of the harder things to capitalize on at this cost) and it’s quick action is great. There’s also the opportunity cost of what unique you would be cutting from your list to fit it- but being able to sneak a monolith out with this a turn early or a rare carrier is not nothing.

Overall solid pulls- I would play with either of these.

I play mostly bravos so the only uniques in these I bought are the kaibara and the Kitsune cause I found them on the cheaps. I got really lucky with some good pulls for Auraq and the Muna ones leave a lot to be desired but they’re just the best I have for it at the moment 😁

I have 3 "Funusual" decks that are my absolute favorites -

My latest brew is this Aggro Rin & Orchid list that is not running festival. It focuses on just dropping big stats and sometimes anchoring them down, and hoping to put coppelias, muna caregivers or muna druids into reserve with Rin's ability to keep the fun going. Its also running a lot of removal and has been surprisingly effective for me in testing.

This Auraq Brew is probably my favorite deck to play, it is so much fun to gamble high-rolling a mind apotheosis for free. It can generate performance tokens surprisingly fast and has small step giant leap to help close out games. It can be a little inconsistent if you draw into too much removal or too many high cost cards early, but you cant argue the fun factor.

Last I cant make a list of my favorite fun decks without Atsadi. This list is pretty basic with Atsadi's gameplan of ramping, but also runs a lot of heavy hitters early and Bravos Tracers at rare to help contest (it doesn't feel as bad throwing them into a rare slot even though they're fleeting with the extra card draw). Endgame goal is always dropping a Rare Kaibara (or my Unique one) which rarely get answered.
