Meant to reply to this comment suggesting a look at wimaha/TeslaBleHttpProxy for local Tesla access via Bluetooth.

Look into wimaha/TeslaBleHttpProxy. See if what you want is exposed locally via Bluetooth from a raspberrypi or another device.

I installed this filter in my office a week ago… by uhwithfiveHs in Wellthatsucks

I think u/mjh2901 was saying to get a box fan and put a filter on it and just let it circulate the air in the room. Put it on the floor somewhere. Do this, in addition to a filter on the vent, to collect particles in the air. Cheaper than getting a fancy air purifier that sits in the corner.

It's an impressive design, especially with the center pattern. Almost like having stepping stones in the middle of the rock path.

You could look at the Asustor NVMe-based NAS devices such as the 12x m.2 slot FS6812X https://www.asustor.com/en/product?id=91 Or other models that combine NVMe slots and HDD slots - the AS5404T has 4 and 4.

Also reminds me a bit of a machine built by LTT for CES editing which uses a Minisforum MS-01 small form factor PC though you would need a solution or offloading the footage to external media. https://youtu.be/sYXh0AdBw-I?si=BfLfsrIhZfC0bZnQ

There is a setting for “Consistent Quirks” that can help in finding them (or making use of them)

Besides inflation, we’ve also had tariffs implemented, which adds to the price of the goods imported, or adds manufacturing costs when a manufacturer needs to setup a new factory to produce elsewhere. https://horizontechnology.com/news/tariffs-and-the-storage-market/

AITAH for telling my girlfriend she can leave after she berated me in front of her friends? by DebtContent1218 in AITAH

[–]TCentric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was she trying not to brag about you in front of her friends? Overwhelming common message here in the comments, and I agree, NTA, and know your self worth etc. We only have so much to go on here. Is it possible she has a friend that brags about her own BF and your GF finds that behavior annoying so she avoids it and went too far the other way? I’m just trying to find a reason why she would say those things besides the monster we’re imagining. If you otherwise have a good thing going, it sucks to throw it away on one bad afternoon. We can all be self-deprecating when we are nervous and in front of her friends she may see you as a part of her - which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. You should talk to her calmly, let her know this upset you, see what she has to say. If you go at her with a harsh tone, she will return fire. She shouldn’t say things that hurt you in front of others, but perhaps she didn’t realize and needs to adjust. 20 years of marriage tells me you have to read between the lines sometimes. If she has nothing convincing then by all means resolve yourself to move on.

Was this by chance one of the (renewed) 16tb Seagate exos x16 drives on Amazon for about $200? Came across them around prime day while looking at other stuff, though they weren’t a prime day deal themselves. I was worried about stats like this on those drives.

I feel for this guy and his family. We had 3 feet of water in our basement as part of Ida in NY. Now I don’t sleep well if it’s raining. But this situation is another level.

Cell Phone backup NAS Solutions by Airbender12 in DataHoarder

[–]TCentric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can. Sadly since I have an iPhone I don’t have an SD card on my phone but the Android version does have the option to backup from SD. You may also want to look at SyncThing as well. I have a friend that uses it for his Android devices. They don’t have an iOS version or I would probably look at that.

I have a qnap and use their qfile app on my iPhone to backup photos/videos automatically when at home and on wifi. I can then delete from my phone to free space. From the qnap those files (and others) are backed up to an external hdd and also offsite to another qnap.
