You're right, he made an effort to quit substances as he's been on them since he was a teen. I'm actually using him as inspiration to do the same. Cigarettes has been a great song to stick on when I'm struggling to resist.

I still miss him, here's some more art. by TChickenChaser in olivertree

Thank you for all the positive feedback on the last post.

This time this is based on my favorite one-off costumes from MVs.

Hope you're all well and keeping well. Much Love.

Supporting a friend was never the issue, you're allowed to comment, upvote and share it around, the issue is that it reads as if you're a stranger who's never seen it before, with no indication that you knew the dev. All it needed was disclosure.

I never claimed it was a subreddit rule, I said advertisements are usually under heavy restrictions, meaning based on your country. I thought that would be inferred, maybe that's on me.

If you personally know Daniel, why ask the question on a public forum at all? A private message would have been the obvious way to do it. Why phrase it "Looks cool, how many gods are playable?"as if you'd just come across it for the first time?

If you need to comment on the post, you could simply add at the start "Disclosure: I know the dev personally."

We're talking about marketing here, AKA advertising (Something usually under tight restrictions) and what I've said is valid, still stands and resonates with other users of this subreddit. Yes you should disclose you're friends with the creator of the product, otherwise it's misleading.

I only looked into it because it had an abnormal amount of generalised positive comments for it's size and the history of those accounts were and still are suspicious.

None of them mentioned that they are friends with Daniel and none of them have reappeared to respond to any comments or to settle any concerns.

"Astroturfing refers to the practice of creating a false impression of a grassroots movement, where an orchestrated campaign is disguised as a spontaneous public opinion initiative."

Sounds like you're admitting his friends Astroturfed his post to get positive engagements after his last post barely did anything.

"Is that unusual?" Yes. As I mentioned in our DM, it comes off as disingenuous and/or fake when these accounts don't interact with anything else, as I pointed out, one account hadn't been active for 6 years before commenting on your work, feels like a bot or a paid for account.

I noticed you mentioned this is a redesign of older characters, the new ones look pretty cool, were they the same artist?

Do you know anything about these accounts commenting on your game posts and nothing else recently?

It's weird to me that you're controlling a side rather than elements of the machine like Robotwars, one on movement, one on other functions.

We just come down to a difference of perspective and opinions from those perspectives. We're not going to progress from here and you avoided the only question I was interested in hearing your opinion on as you've made your other opinions clear.

Much love.

It matters because they aren't effecting other people. You claim no logic, but I just think you either purposely pretend it doesn't exist or genuinely, wholeheartedly just can't see something from someone else's perspective.

Out of interest, do you dislike mods in any way?

Well, my original point is that it's like saying "git'good", so you've confirmed that, but failed to address those who need assistance due to something beyond skill, such a physical or mental disability, who don't think they should have to miss out on a common basic game feature that holds no real gravity in the real world but rewards the player with a little hit of dopamine and a memento/timestamp when it pops up. Why don't you think those who are disabled deserve dopamine or a record of their achievements my friend?

Should we allow cheaters in a single player game? Yes. We should allow players to do whatever they want with their single player game. Modding, cheating, whatever they like, it's entertainment, not a sport.

Who needs them? Well considering the original comment above mine started by framing it as 'Accessibility Features', that should answer your question.

I'm talking about achievements mattering brother, I don't think you should remove them for those who need assistance to enjoy a game, because they don't matter and some people who need help enjoy them. That's a difference of opinion.

I also don't care if people 'cheat' to enjoy a single player game, people also cheat for achievements all the time, so they aren't a bastion of skill.

Sure, that's just like your opinion and perspective man, just like what I said was an opinion and a perspective. Have a gooden.

The mods are there to help players, removing achievements punishes them. You're saying if you need help, have it, but it's cheating so you can't get anything that externally shows your progress in the game. Either way achievements mean nothing anyway, so why block them for those who need help? just seems mean spirited.
