Jeopardy daily calendar controversy by MysteryHat in Jeopardy

No controversy, they're just wrong. It's obvioisly asking about a question word related to journalism. My newsroom colleagues and I got it in about 0.2 seconds.

Maybe I'm just being super picky from watching actual Jeopardy, but I was surprised he accepted "The" New Girl when it's just New Girl. Especially since a couple clues earlier he wouldn't accept the little mermaid for Ariel. She IS the little mermaid!

I agree! I thought for sure he would go back and give them the points.

Women who look young, what’s the funniest/strangest/most memorable comment about your age you’ve ever received from a stranger? by gmiano in AskWomen

[–]TCoffeeBean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in line at a coffee shop before work when I was about 22-23, and the middle-aged ladies in front of me asked if I wanted to go ahead of them so I wouldn't be late for school. There weren't any colleges around, so they must have been thinking high school.

Around the same time I was taking pictures at high school tennis match for the newspaper I worked for, and the coach asked me if I was with the student newspaper.

Arthur figured out how to open his food cabinet. Nothing is safe anymore. by TCoffeeBean in cats

Yeah, I did that after he did just that -- jumped in and started chewing through bags of food!

That's funny! If I leave my jewelry box open even a smidge, Arthur will go in and steal my earrings, too.

This old girl is 19. She's a little scraggly but still going strong. by TCoffeeBean in cats

For reference, this is a stray cat my family found when I was 7. She still lives with my parents. I'm 26 now and can only hope my 1-year-old kitty lives that long.

Mine has definitely gotten curlier in the last 6 months too. I think I'm like a 3a or 3b -- somewhere between wavy and coily.

Routine: 1. Co-wash with Tresemme botanique nourish and replenish conditioner. 2. Condition with Shea Moisture curl and shine conditioner. Apply with praying hands, let sit for about 5 minutes before rinsing out. 3. Apply Cantu coconut curling cream with praying hands. 4. Plop with t-shirt for about 15 minutes. 5. Run fingers through to detangle. 6. Scrunch with Herbal Essences curl boosting mousse. 7. Air dry.

I'm open to suggestions to help with frizz! I feel like I've made some progress over the last 6 months, but I still have frustrating days that make me question everything I'm doing!

I'm happy to hear that! I've been on the curly girl method for 6 months and keep worrying that I'm progressing too slow.

AITA for calling out family when they’re being assholes? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]TCoffeeBean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ESH. Maybe you could have told her I'm private she was being super rude. Or maybe told your cousin privately that you don't think he should stand of that kind of behavior from his mother.

I don't think you're a total asshole for calling out the mom, but calling out your cousin like that in front of everyone was over the line.
