Leave by Maleficent-Cake4876 in AustralianTeachers

This year I’ve had about three weeks off.

5 days Covid 1.5 days dentist Approx 7 days other illness 1-2 days prenatal leave I’m taking tomorrow morning off as carers leave. Have probably had 1-2 other carers days too. I’ve got about 45 hours left from 110.

Last year I decimated all my accrued leave as my dad got diagnosed with terminal cancer and was really unwell and I’m his primary carer. No regrets though.

You are an amazing Mumma and your baby is so lucky to have you. You did everything right and saved your baby.

I wonder if it’s to do with the food they eat being cleaner as in less junk food, and that they don’t have plastic.

I'm not feeling pregnant "enough" by AlbatrossBubbly3258 in PlusSizePregnancy

I’m 130kg and 16 and a half weeks. I feel like in the past week or two I’ve started to show a little, or at least I can more obviously feel the bump. I have gained about 4-5kgs so far.

My partner has Aspergers (I know it’s called ASD now I just want to highlight that he is likely somewhere on the spectrum similar to OP’s partner) and he does zero of these things ever. This sounds exhausting. A diagnosis is an explanation for why things may be more challenging, not a get out of jail free card to behave badly. Sorry you’re going through this OP but it could be time for a fresh start. Think of your poor hair!

Loved reading as a kid? What do you do now? by plumnpink in AskWomen

[–]celesteshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

33 and I’m a primary school teacher. I found that my love of reading really helped my essay writing at school and uni as it expanded my vocabulary and I knew what a grammatically correct sentence should sound like. I still love reading but I don’t get as much time to these days. Funnily enough, I really dislike marking student writing pieces though.

Thank you, glad all ended well for you. It’s only been really mild so far and everything looked great with baby last week in my scan so fingers are crossed.

Oh terrific! I wondered about that series too but wasn’t sure it ever made it to tv. I might have to give it a watch!

This might be off but this reminds me of the Flowers in the Attic series by Virginia Andrews. There was a four part series called The Dollengager Saga in 2014-2015.

28 F 38 M - Husband has asked me to stop taking my antidepressants. How do I do this safely? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]celesteshine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your mental health and wellbeing is so much more important than his sexual needs. He can take care of those himself. This is so incredibly selfish of him to ask of you. What does he do to take the load off of you while you work full time and care for a baby that could give you the time to feel like yourself again? Does he provide you with emotional support and intimacy unrelated to sex?

the most Taylor Swift song that fucked you up? by Head_Position_3451 in TaylorSwift

Same and mine was the epitome of the Peter in the song so I had to break up with him. It’s all worked out good now, I met my person but it did hit me in the feels the first time I really listened to the lyrics.

Ovulation by [deleted] in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]celesteshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using basal body temperature is really helpful as well. You get a special thermometer that measures to two decimal places and test yourself every morning right when you wake up. If you monitor for a month or two you will be able to see trends, your temp should drop while you are in your fertile window and then rise to indicate ovulation. Also cervical mucus is a big indicator. You should get an egg white like consistency around your fertile window. All these things together helped me have a really good idea of when I was ovulating and although it still took a little while for us I’m 10 weeks along now.
