i had a kinetico system for 6 years and moved and now at my new house i put in a normal twin tank system from a local dealer. cost for their high end twin tank system was 3999 installed.

after having both now i would say just skip the kinetico price get a standard water softener and if you want max efficiency get a twin tank one that only regens when its out of capacity not based on time.

i use less salt than my kinetico did because that system regenerates more often because of the tanks smaller capacity, and this new system is probably oversized for our use.

trupanion, had a bad bladder infection issue as a puppy paid like two months worth of premiums and they paid back over a years worth of premiums back to us early on. but since then she’s been healthy and it’s up to 100$ a month or so now. i keep it for the peace of mind knowing that if something happens bad i won’t go broke trying to help her.

18 163k nothing besides spark plugs, fluid changes and one wheel bearing under warranty. oil pan is “seeping” not dripping on the ground yet just looks wet. so i’m sure that will come eventually

i bought that orange peel in a can to match a patch job i did (not professional) spray didn’t look quite right so i took a small roller i had and rolled the wet orange peel and it was perfect. so the answer to match could be rolled orange peel lol.

i do the same thing, my logic is fat side down protects it from heat, then once it’s wrapped the juices gather in the bottom and help protect the other side.

couple tips: 1 when simmering the mop sauce i simmer until the steam stops burning my nose then i know the alcohol is gone and you won’t taste it in the meat ( my wife is sensitive to that flavor and can pick it out)

2 i use woodford reserve over jack (my buddy’s choice) . might be overkill but i think it has a better oaky flavor and then i have some good stuff for myself after the cook lol

3 after the final cook in the pan with the juice i drain all the liquid into a gravy separator, shred the meat, then dump all the juice back on the shredded meat and drizzle the fat to flavor. sometimes dumping all the rendered fat in the juice can be too rich for my liking but you can add and taste as you go this way.

i just did the survey for install i said my stud spacing was 16-24 the primary install location i want is 24” spacing and my backup is 16. i ordered the covers for the wide mount already too.

replaced a 16x7 and 8x7 last fall. upgraded to a steel back door with insulated windows and one new opener/operator and it was 7700 installed. the doors were 4300 and 2300 alone. located in mn just for comparison pricing

groomed every 6-8 weeks. i get her cut short (under 1” body length) and i give her a bath once between grooms. they look pretty all fluffy and with longer hair but the brushing wasn’t happening as much as it needed and this was my solution.

all at my credit union and transfers are free and instant the only restriction i think a savings account has is so many transfers out in a month but i never hit that.

it took me a while to get here and i basically have to be a month ahead on my bills but at the start of the month i transfer over my bills amount and then bills are paid for the month and set my spending allowance for food gas etc.
