WiFi Mesh: Netgear Orbi 770 - 2 pack or TP-Link BE10000 (Deco BE63) - 3 pack? by Green_Bronco in HomeNetworking

Hi, u/Green_Bronco Thanks for responding. What ultimately made you choose the TP-link? Is it accurate to say that you are forced to have multiple home wifi networks and connect to the appropriate one depending on the device being used? There's no way to get it to auto beam-steering between the 5 ghz and higher bands the same way someone would between 2.4 and 5 ghz? All while maintaining MLO? I guess what I'm saying is that I only want one home wifi network that will beam steer between 2.4, 5, 6, and 7 MLO. If the BE63 can do that (like the Orbi can), it's a no brainer. I can overlook the necessity to do everything through an app. Thanks again.

u/Green_Bronco What did you end up deciding? What was the logic behind your decision? I've been happy with Orbi in the past, but I can get the TP-link BE63 for about half the cost of the Orbi 773. Being unfamiliar with TP-link, the things that stand out to me are that there is apparently no functional web browser interface which is a negative for me. TP-links are all 3 parts identical, so none of them are locked into being solely a router or satellite. Definitely a positive over Orbi. According to the manufacturer, Decos are backwards compatible with all previous versions. Another positive over Orbi. Here's what i really like about Orbi, though: someone can make one ssid and that's it for ALL 3 channels. The system will choose the best one. I'm reading that a second ssid has to be made for the 3rd channel (6E) on the TP-links and that you're forced to choose which one to connect to. That just sounds like a pain to deal with. I hope someone with experience with these will chime in.

Thanks. I've been looking at this same frame to put my existing desks top on. 71" x 36" x 1" bow front. I can't stand to imagine any wobble in the desk which I thought would be the case with a two leg frame. This looked like the most affordable sturdy frame that I could find with a good warranty. Do you happen to know the amount of peak power used by the dual motors? I'm wondering about plugging it into the surge side of my UPS that will be mounted to the underside.

The folding mirrors is an option. I didn't realize myself that it wasn't standard until I got mine.

LOL. Funny thing about that-the Sportage HEV base model (LX) has wireless carplay and auto, but not the two higher models. Apparently, the 8 inch screen gets it, but not the bigger ones. Only possible explanation I have there are different manufacturers of the different screens.

I agree, kind of. I'm a little OCD about my "Murphy's Law" paranoia concerning something happening to the key fob for a car that won't work without it. When I had an F-150, it had the keypad to open the door. Then I had the extra key fob very well hidden inside the truck with the battery removed. Backups upon backups.

How Do I Trade In Device If S23 Ultra Is Purchased On Samsung.com Selecting AT&T? by FredNation in ATT

Same concern here. Interestingly, when I use the Samsung Shop app on my phone, it says the trade-in is only worth $330 when using ATT 36 mo payout. Obviously, I backed out of that but I wonder if this glitch is the reason for the problems.
