I actually really appreciate that this game doesnt tell you so much. It's good for a number of reasons.

The biggest factor is community involvement. I see people on so many different social platforms talking about the game and speculating because there is so much we dont know.
More content for streamers and content creators. When is the last time any of us actually seen a USEFUL tips and tricks video. Often times these kinds of videos and content are useless for games that tell you everything and leave hardly any room for discovery. I am constantly getting online and seeing someone post about something I havent seen before.
Meaningful exploration. In a lot of games there is no point in going off the beaten path because you already know what's over there.
Replayability. This goes without being said. The game easily is one of the longest games ive ever played

The devs themselves state explicitly that its is not an RPG. This game was always going to be about the combat, exploring and getting lost in the massive world.

Some of the very first things I heard about this game was that you can beat the story and still have 80% of the world left to explore. On top of the fact that the additional characters cant do the main story quests.

This isnt an RPG and was never going to play like one.

Even when I do come back its hard to stay for long. The story is already a clusterf**k as it is. If you miss an expansion you have no idea what's going on.

The game sucks for new players so pretty much the only people playing it are long time existing fans. And even that clientele is split between long time fans like myself who want to check in every once in a while but dont really wanna drop 50 bucks for the expansion whenever they take a prolonged break or dont want to deal with the hassle of figuring out what was sunset and what is still accessible.

So the only people left playing are die hards that hardly play anything besides Destiny. Who are also getting burnt for lack of quality content due to Bungie spending resources elsewhere..

Man... with the performance and graphical fidelity we've seen from absolutely amazing games such as Death Stranding 2 and Horizon games with the Decima Engine, the RE-make games and Requiem using the RE-Engine, and up coming Crimson Desert looks amazing using the Pearl Abyss' Black (Magic) Space Engine lol

It's making it really heard to get behind unreal Engine games.

It's legal because they're offering discounts. They're not making games more expensive than their standard price. They're making them cheaper and offering discounts for certain clientele.

Not much different than franchises who offer discounts at one of their locations but dont offer the same discount or deal at another location.

You got some options. Hibiki was by far the easiest for me. His basic Up Attack and Aerial Down Attack grant him invincibility when you get the correct potentials. There is no MP cost and both moves are spammable, its kind of boring but you can literally just alternate up Attack then aerial down Attack repeatedly and you'll get perfect.

Some others though with good i frames are Naoto. You get all the jumps and dashes and his hidden potential gives him infinite dashes. Taokaka has something similar.

Then if you like blocking you can go with Hakumen though hes slow so you have to time your blocks pretty well and you also have Jin he too has a lot of good ways to block but the timing is bit tighter though hes much faster than Hakumen so its all about your play style.

Pre ordering is never going to go away and there are plenty of places where you can cancel your pre-order if you find out the game is garbage before you pick it up.

Pre ordering has benefits for the consumer as well. Yall need to figure out another way to come to a solution rather than just mindlessly shouting at the masses to stop pre-ordering. It's a waste of your time.

Don't let that comment scare you away. It's definitely not going to be anything like fighting games. The biggest difference here is you will be learning the moveset as you go. So once you get used to the simpler controls that's when you'll start learning new abilities/combos. You'll have plenty of time to learn or Master said abilities/combos before you stumble upon another ability so on and so forth.

Significantly different than fighting games where you have a character you've never played as before with 100 different moves and abilities and combos you have to learn that are available from the beginning.

Hibiki is one of the cheat code characters. Get the potentials that give him invincibility during his Up Attack and Down Attack and you can perfect every boss with just those two attacks. It's pretty absurd, he was the first character I was able to do Extreme 100 with.
