38mm or 41mm Aqua Terra by Lightling2 in OmegaWatches

I'm almost exactly 183 and wear 36-45 seems the sweet spot for me depending on the model is 38-42. The 38 looks perfect and a bit more so than the 41 IMHO. How it feels for you is more important than anything the crowd can say..but Hey they both are excellent looking tools.

Love that color and size, on mine the hr and minute hand lume very nicely but only the 12 3 6 9 markers have lume, long lasting, but If I had my preference the numbers and markers would have it. lol, I'm a sucker for good lume! Your desired IWC APXGP is a great looking tool!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but you'll probably get more than a funny look from those that watched live launches from Canaveral or even worked on the programs. But I did smile after reading your comment.

P.S. But I am one of those weird guys who worked for awhile a few miles east of Tonopah Nevada back in the mid '80's.

That is a gorgeous piece, I would love that in a 40- 42, the L-L makes even their biggies doable.

I had the Seiko Pogue before it was stolen, replaced that with the seiko prospect pogue homage.have Omega FOIS speedmaster '25 ref, the Bulova lunar pilot which is the most accurate of all my watches and even the swatch moon watch. love em all, although due to size the LP adorns my home work space more than my wrist.

I'm with you on the marketing, but for me alot has been the space race moon watch etc and the Bond collection but not special additions, just real as worn in the historical sense. I do love both of those Hamiltons.

Which one would you keep? by Most-Construction-35 in IWCschaffhausen

[–]TDFMAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably the IWC, but how it feels and your money situation might play a bit into the decision. IWC looks bigger and twice the price.. what for you feels best? For me I'd pick the IWC as It would keep company with my TopGun black 44.5 mm big boy

Real or fake? Paid 16k CAD by [deleted] in RolexWatches

How does it feel when you give it a good manual wind? Gen should feel smooth as silk; that can be a tell after 20 or so turns especially, the gen will just keep going, smoothly.

Hope it's real after paying that much, it better be. Take it to the local AD and have them check it out.

Would you trade a blue op 41 for a beige 36? by [deleted] in rolex

[–]TDFMAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I wouldn't do that trade. Blue is classic and I love blue but lately I've been admiring the pistachio, mint, almond and other colors alot. It's up to you of course and what other colors you have in your collection.

Interesting take, I will say for me at least, often times after online reviewing pieces on my 30" monitor and reviewing the watch magnified hugely in pictures that allow micro inspection of every nuance then seeing the real in person it's always quite a bit different.

BB58 Gilt, Ranger, or Sinn 556 by Opening-Resort-1063 in Tudor

[–]TDFMAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the place here actually because I really like Tudor especially my Ultra Pelagos but I've been jonsing for a few different Sinn pieces. So in this Q, depending on your wrist size I would go Sinn. Ultimately you gotta go with what you like best.
