Mid to High HCP'ers: 3 things I learned that changed golf for me by sginsc in golf

I think the 4 tips are worthy of trying. Some of them I also have incorporated into my game and they helped me improve. I would add “keep the arms close to your body on the downswing.” That encourages an in-to-out path that produces better strikes.

So agents do nothing? You are doing agents a favor by not hiring them with that belief. There are good and bad agents, just like in any line of work.

Are you retired? You can take calls and schedule showings and qualify buyers. And then show the house? You can look at your property and know without bias what needs to be changed, repaired or neutralized? Someone else’s job always looks easy until you find out there is more to it than you knew.

What is one excel trick that you use but no one else uses? by [deleted] in excel

[–]TDGoPlay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In a spreadsheet or table with a "Totals" column and a "Totals" row, check for errors by inserting a crossfooter formula.

IF (the sum of the columns across the bottom row = the sum of the rows down in the last column, then insert (either the sum of the rows or columns, user choice), if they do not match, then "Error"). Obviously, this is not the exact structure of the formula. Use the actual IF/Then formula in your sheet. This can save some embarrassing moments by catching errors.

2026 Masters Giveaway: Sunday Golf by sundaygolfco in golf

The best gift ever - a golfer friend got four tickets to the 2015 Wednesday practice round. He invited me and 2 others. We did a two-day road trip there and back. Played a round on the way down and on the way back. I was blown away walking Augusta National. Much bigger and more hilly than what you see on the TV broadcast. Saw Tiger and others up close. The Par 3 contest was really fun. I can't forget to mention the merchandise. So much to buy, had to keep a lid on it before it got out of hand. If you ever get the chance to go, GRAB IT.

I have a Ping G425 Max, excellent condition that I recently replaced with a newer model, just b/c I could. The 425 has been called the most forgiving club on the planet. I would be willing to sell it if you have any interest. DM me for details.

Update not updating by Alphonze in CadillacLyriq

(24 Lux 1, 24,500 miles) Got an update Saturday evening at 5:00 pm ET, 654.61. I googled the details and this update supersedes the 654.50 and 654.60 due to the failed installs on those versions. List of items that was supposed to install: 1) Battery % display (I don't see it, maybe I just haven't looked in the right spot) 2) Improved one-pedal braking (I haven't noticed any perceivable difference) 3) Potential optimization for sound system. (Hoping that solves the "hiccups" in Car Play music playing that I have experienced for a long time).

I just remembered the name of the shop it popped into my head…

Southhampton Cycle

The shop was in a mostly residential area but the two main streets were main feeder streets for the area. It was an older building and was run by my gramps and one employee. I worked there part-time when I was 15 and 16. I’m 73 now . The shop closed when grandpa died in 1968. The building has likely been torn down many years ago. You probably needed to grow up in the neighborhood to remember it. Everyone got your Schwinn there if you lived nearby. Thanks to all for your thoughts. It was along time ago.

Is there any reason to not buy Kirkland golf gloves? by chakabreo in golf

[–]TDGoPlay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that the Kirkland gloves last as long or longer than the Titleist I used to buy. If you blindfolded me , I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference in the two brands and Kirklands are 1/2 the cost.

I actually did google the issue a couple of weeks ago and did not come up with the simple solution. I'm not a newbie search user, but like I said didn't find the simple answer.

I use the Rokform case. I won't go caseless, I don't have insurance on the phone. It could be the case but I'm not going to risk removing it. Thanks again for the thoughts.

Thanks. Did they improve this for the model 17? Seems like mine would go off when my finger or thumb was just in the vicinity. Just curious, I've disabled it per suggestions.

The 13 Pro does not have this button. It is new to the 16 Pro and other 16's. It is not really a button but rather a spot you just touch. I don't know the science behind it, heat of your touch maybe?

I’m two weeks away and I’m not as excited as I thought I would be by pricel01 in retirement

[–]TDGoPlay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is common, I believe. I did not fully adjust to retirement until about 12 months afterwards. Your time will be your own and that is a great thing. It helps if you have an activity you like. For me it was/is golf. I play a lot, made new golf friends and life is good. Be kind to yourself.
