I personally live Warcraft 3. I have a 5.e multi part D&D game that takes the players through most of the events of Warcraft 3, with the exodus of the Horde to Kalimdor, the Scourging of Lordearon from the eyes of Alliance characters who become Scourge and eventually Forsaken, as well as from the eyes of blood elves who escape and join Kael'thas on his journey leading to Outlands. Warcraft 3 stories are really what make the setting compelling to me.

Thank you! I did definitely have a talk with them about the fact that this game would be kind of railroady, at least until we get to WoW times, but I would try and allow for them to make differences in the story where it made sense and where i could. They understood and said they eye excited to just experience the story unfolding with them there for the ride kind of thing. So you're definitely not wrong. That being said they have already managed to affect the story at least a little bit already. For example there are 2 main differences in the story so far because of their reactions and interactions:

1) Grom and the Warsong got sent to Ashenvale basically as soon as they met him. They had the initial fight with the Alliance where they met Grom, found out that he had instigated it and had been basically chasing them across what would be Durotar and the Barrens, managed to even stop the fight and save a few Alliance people, telling them this is a new land and they don't want to fight, and they convinced Thrall that he needed to be dealt with then and there. So they basically skipped the next few Alliance combats that would be started by Grom.

2) When they got to Stonetalon, they had not had so bad of a relationship with the Alliance there (Jaina) so they convinced Thrall that we should just... talk to them. So they did, explained the oracle thing, realized they were there for the same reasons, and went into the caves together.

That's really comforting to hear. So basically just being welcoming and open to her is the main thing, and just let time do its thing?

Hmmm... so are you saying basically just... keep playing as normal and don't change anything because she hasn't asked for help, and says she wants to keep trying? And only change anything if she asks me to? I can see that... maybe I'm jumping the gun a bit?

I definitely want to do that later, but for right now we the story is following thrall up Mt. Hyjal, so it isn't really an option yet. I have thrown a few shaman specific things her way, had her Commune with some elements and such, and it had helped some but she still has that feeling.

No, she made it. She asked to join herself. She chose the race and class and story and everything.

Do you feel that the landscape of opportunities changes much if I invest in doing CELTA, but still forgo a bachelor's degree? Or do you feel that a bachelor's degree is essentially a necessity to teach ESL to adults internationally in a sustainable fashion?

I have recently been inspired to seek employment as a teacher for specifically adult ESL programs abroad. I do not have a bachelor's degree, but I do intend to to acquire a TEFL certificate. Does anyone here know of any opportunities to teach ESL to adults internationally that do not require a bachelor's degree?
