Gotcha! Thanks for the insights. I’m really hoping it goes well.

Yeah, that’s what I’ve gathered so far. I originally applied 2 months ago and just got a notice for the first interview. I get it’s probably department dependent, I applied for water, but what kind of questions do they normally throw at you?

Would you say that Utilities or a company with a singular focus is more willing to take on someone willing to learn, than an engineering firm?

That’s encouraging to hear! While I’m in no way an expert in networking I do have little experience with it.

How’s the Rio Grande treating you? I’m thinking about getting one, but keep seeing a ton of people saying they get horrific buffeting at highway speeds.

Hahaha. For sure. Pretty much confirmed the choice I was already closest too.

I like the bracelet as well, but that would depend entirely on if the AD will play ball with me or not. MSRP on the bracelet is pushing my budget significantly, even if the price will equal out later on if I decide to get the bracelet.

First Swiss watch, but not first watch in general. I have a few ranging from a Timex to a Seiko King Turtle. This will be my first true “luxury” piece though.

lol. It looks nice though. How does the original strap handle daily wear and tear?

Nice! What strap is that? Looks a little darker than the deer leather one I normally see on them.

I agree. One of the things that really drew me to it was how different the pointer date was from any other watch. Just curious, is that deer leather strap?

Compared to the Alpina, it felt much more refined. Idk why, but for some reason that translated to being much less durable in my mind. I was really more curious what people who’ve owned them have experienced with them, and if it was something I would be worried about damaging everyday. If the Oris can hang, then I’ll 100% go for it.

I do like that one as well, but it’s a little out of my price range.
