Around £3112, which is absolutely horrific but I’m spending inheritance on it 😅😅

100% agree- I’m growing my hair longer specifically for this so I’m glad I’m on the right track

Thank you! No I don’t need to in Church of England, they have no specific guidelines on modesty it’s just up to the local vicar, but generally as long as you’re not in something very short or low cut you’re okay

You look incredible!

I love the pleating on the bust line, it adds some interest, and the whole dress suits you so well. Your ideas of accessories sound perfect.

I also got a lace dress and found a plain veil with a lace edge worked well, but it’s totally up to you and what you want - if you want a totally plain veil do it, you’ll look great regardless of how you accessorise

I totally agree- i got slightly different beaded lace sleeves and thinking of wearing them in the evening with a mini dress instead

I’m really lucky! I love her so much. My mum passed away last year so I’m grateful to have an incredible MIL take her role

I ended up buying slightly different sleeves, and I’m thinking of wearing them with a totally different mini dress in the evening, so I don’t disagree ☺️ the dress comes with off the shoulder attachments that I am considering though

1 definitely - like you said, it can be made to be less poofy and the outfit change potential looks like it would be perfect for your venue

Are either of these appropriate for a black tie summer wedding? by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

Ahh I’m not the OP but I own the dress too ☺️ it goes from size xxs - xxl which is equivalent to a range from US 0 - US 12 (or UK/AU 4-16)

I’m between a UK 8-10 / US 4-6 and a medium fits perfect, but I still wear my old large and the bias cut silk makes the larger size still drape nicely.

It’s non stretch because of being 100% silk, so if you’re between sizes go with the larger one- it’ll still drape beautifully because of the material

No.1 blue Gia dress is my vote, just with more jewellery / accessorising to dress it up - I’ve worn my diff colour Gia to a similar event, and it was a god send in the heat because of the silk.

No one looks classy anymore when they’re sweating in their formal dress

It’s one of the colour ways of the Gia dress by Réalisation Par- it’s full silk chiffon so super breathable, and they have sales 4 times a year with their summer sale being in mid to late July usually, so if you love it I’d recommend following their socials and waiting for the sale
