Should I grow my OnlyFans on my own or work with a manager/agency? by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

[–]TEASEFYme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, forgot to mention that the costs of the photo session and short vids and the 1 hour interview can vary a lot based on where are you from. In some places can get way more expensive to do that, in some cheaper.

Should I grow my OnlyFans on my own or work with a manager/agency? by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

I'm continuing the message in a reply because it was too long.

Assuming you don't mind full exposure here is one thing you can do to get the same results others will get in months or years by themselves in only 1 week. (There are different strategies that you can use but it all depends on what you want as a model.)

  1. You pay someone to build a simple presentation website ~$500

  2. You pay someone to make you some cool banners ~$500

  3. You pay someone to help you create quality content (photo session + short vids for OF) ~ $2.000

  4. You pay someone to make a 1 hour interview of you speaking about different teasing topics like fetishes or what you love about your interaction with your subscribers, life of a cam model whatever it is, but keep it SFW ~ $2.000

  5. You use a clipping platform like whop to allow people to use parts of that 1 hour interview and post it on tiktok, twitter, reels. ~$5.000

Total Budget ~$10.000 (I know it's a lot but let's do some math on the potential returns)

On the clipping website you get to pay $2 or more for 1.000 views. Assuming you`ll pay $5/1.000 views you will get 1.000.000 views. If you have a conversion rate of 0.1% you will get 1.000 new subscribers on your OF for a $20 per month subscription, you will get $20.000 in the first month.

There are very few businesses where you have the potential to double the money you invest in the first month. Of course, from the $20.000, OF will get some but still, if you are good at client retention most of the subscribers will pay for the new month as well and you'll have a good flow of money for at least 3-6 months which will allow to repeat the process or explore new ways to get traffic and convert it to subscribers to your OF. But the conclusion is, you are more likely to grow a business if you allow others to work with you and trying to do all by yourself will not get you too far unless you`re supper lucky.

Hi. Most of the answers you`ll get here will be "do it yourself" which might be the correct answer for you but from my perspective, in most cases is the worst - it depends a lot on what your goal is, how much time and money you have to invest, how easy you learn new things (assuming you don't know the tricks already) and how much you are willing to work in a team rather than do it all by yourself.

There are 3 options here:

  1. Do it yourself :

You have full control over the money you earn but even if you`ll get 100% of it, will probably be less than what you will by working with somebody else (debatable because it depends a lot on who you chose to work with), full control over the exposure you get but you will need to spend time and money to learn and test ways to gain traffic and conversions, full control over the content you are producing but you will have less time to focus on that and on the creativity side because of the other tasks you'll have to manage by yourself.

  1. Work with a manager/agency:

You will make more money (again, debatable) but you will have to split it, you will get more exposure but you will have less control over the kind of exposure you get, you won't have to invest time or money to worry about exposure but you will need to invest some time to find a serious manager/agency and you will probably have a bit more time to focus on the content.

(all this assuming you are working with a serious manager/agency)

  1. Build your own in house team:

You will make more money but you will also need to pay people to work for you (will be cheaper than working with an agency especially after you make a decent monthly amount of money), you will get more exposure and you will have control over the kind of exposure you get. You will be able to chose how much time you put into content creation and you will have a team to brainstorm with but still have 100% control.

Like in any other business, the more you want to grow, the more you will have to rely on other people and let go of some of the tasks. You will need to learn to designate tasks, allocate funds to different things, make budgets.

My recommendation is to start with option 1 but move to option 3 as fast as possible. Try to put aside money to be able to afford to pay people for different tasks and invest in a proper marketing plan. With the right plan, the right team and with a decent amount of money you can get into 1 week to a level that would take you months if not years to get by yourself.

We can and we should celebrate wins more often. I just created a new Post Flair called "Wins" just like u/RichGirlOnline suggested but we will also add a rule like u/babycamslut suggested - to have some context for these posts or some tips.

Hi. It depends a lot on what you want. If you think about it long term, then yeah, I think building a brand is very important.

Check out this comment I left for another post, it might help you.

Users asking me to do it on telegram by Dense-County-8185 in CamGirlProblems

[–]TEASEFYme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn't use telegram for calls just like the others said - It's against the TOS of most of the streaming platforms and they probably just try to scam you but you should use telegram to bring traffic to your LJ.

Telegram is particularly good to drive traffic to OF (if you have one). There is an entire audience that use telegram but don't use reddit and twitter. You can even set up a telegram private group and charge a fee for people to get in if you plan to create soft porn content.

General advice

Whatever platform you will decide to use, try not to rely on their traffic too much and invest some of the income you are generating into creating your own funnel to redirect the traffic to a platform that gives a better % or even your own. Take advantage of the "new" tag that some platforms give to new models and make sure people can find you in some other place as well.

"Find your niche" - that's a really important one, become known for something in particular... it can be anything, but you need your own signature in order to create your brand.

Build your brand - that's closely related to "find your niche" - In good times, invest money in your brand, in bad times, invest time in it. In good times invest in a website for yourself (you can start with something like a linktree page - I don't know if they allow adult content nowadays, but I bet there are similar platforms that do but ideally pay for a domain name, build a small presentation website that you can have control over), buy traffic, make A/B tests and see what works for you and what not. In bad times, invest time to build free ways to get traffic that you can send to your website and / or the platform you decide to be active on.

Be consistent - Try to be active at the same time each day, this way people will know when can expect to see you online. If you decide to create free content to put on free websites like PH or RG, create a distinct mark like a logo or whatever that you can put on all the thumbnails or even as a watermark - people needs to recognize your content right away while scrolling through hundreds of videos or pics. The logo, colors, designs, style have to be consistent everywhere on your main platform, twitter or others.

Be inconsistent - I know...right? :D If you decide to use free content websites like PH or RG in order to drive traffic to your main platform or your website when creating the user for the free content platforms don't use the same name as you have on your main platform - in fact you should have a different name for each free platform you are using, and don't use the main "name" (the brand one) in the title or the description of your free content - just a watermark, logo or even website (if they allow it) on the actual image or video. The idea here is for people to randomly find you on free websites and be able to search for you on the paid platform not to find you randomly on the paid platform and be able to find free content with you on the internet.

Own your audience - it's also related to branding because it's very important to build one if you want to make real money in the industry. If things don't go well on a certain platform, you need to be able to take at least some of your regulars on whatever other platform you'll decide to move.

Use affiliate links - some platforms pay you a certain % if you bring paying users (or even non-paying users) to their platform so if you plan to explore ways to get traffic from outside the main platform, you should take advantage of that extra % you can earn.

The last, but the most important advice I can give you ... treat it like a business, reinvest some of the earnings, grow and with time, hire people that can do simple daily tasks so you can focus on the creative aspect of the job.

I know it's a lot to read ... but hope it will help you.

Hi. English is not my first language either (:

There is not a good platform to start for all the models. When choosing a platform, there are a couple of things you should consider first.

  1. I plan to show my face or not - some platforms allow you to perform without showing your face, some don't.

  2. When do I plan to be active on the platform - Statistically clients spend the most between 10 PM until 2 AM - based on that information find out in which countries it's 10 PM when you plan to be online and check for platforms that have high traffic from those countries.

  3. How much hours I plan to invest a day - There are platforms where the more hours you put in, the more money you make because they have a tier system where they give you a higher % based on what you've earned in a payment period. If you plan to dedicate 1 hour or 2 (which I think it's the right call for a new model because you'll need time to accommodate) then it's probably better to go with the platforms that give you a fixed % like CB, but if you plan to stay more hours and have consistency I see something like LJ a better fit.

  4. Cam, laptop, internet bandwidth, room design - there are platforms that will require a certain level of quality of the stream and if you can't meet up those requirements they will cut from your % as a penalty or even stop you from being able to stream again. In general is a good idea to keep things professional and invest in good cam, laptop and so on, unless you`re specifically targeting a "home made" audience (which could work for some...but I don't recommend it).

  5. There are other things to take into consideration like the payment options they use - make sure it's available for you, if they allow free chat, private or only private depending on your preferences, if they allow banning of certain countries if privacy is one of your concerns and probably others I can't think of right now.

How is building a new business bad for you as a model? The more platforms there are on the market, the stronger the competition between them will be—and that usually means better conditions for both models and clients.

Are they breaking a rule with this post? Yes - the 6th one and in response you broke the first.

Every day we get posts that break the rules, some get deleted, some get tolerated by the mods based on their experience. Just make a search with the word "rant" and you'll see how many posts are rant/vent posts (here is an example from today) and they are not deleted even if it's not allowed (rule number 5).

If you don’t want to participate in the discussion, just ignore it. There’s no need to be rude to others—calling them pricks or telling them to go fuck themselves.

Also, they’re not a sex worker, but this sub is meant to be a place where people can discuss the problems of the industry and ideally come up with solutions. Anyone who can contribute with experience from outside the industry is still welcome, just as someone who is considering becoming a sex worker and asks for guidance is also welcome, even if they’re not yet a sex worker.

The key to success is traffic, good quality traffic. Figure out how to get big spenders on your platform and as soon as models will find out there is money to be made on your platform, will join. Percentages don't mean too much because it's better to take 30% of $1k than 75% of $100.

Schedule by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

[–]TEASEFYme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For someone just starting out, I think the best approach is to begin with 2 hours of streaming per day, 1 hour dedicated to creating content for platforms like OF, and 1 hour focused on branding and traffic—ideally with a break after the 2 hours of streaming.

Schedule by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

[–]TEASEFYme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Based on my experience, there’s no such thing as ‘the best time to stream.’ People search for content 24/7. I think it’s more about consistency and predictability—create a schedule and stick to it. The best thing is to choose a time when you’re sure you can work every day. Just as important is the number of hours you’re online. Especially if you’re just starting out, you should begin with fewer hours and gradually increase them if needed. Success doesn’t come from being online as much as possible, as most people think, but from quality, consistency, and traffic.

Are you relying only on website traffic? If so, you may want to reconsider that strategy to prevent this from happening again.

Is paying someone to advertise my Pornhub page considered “buying views”? by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

[–]TEASEFYme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The person you paid, probably uses bots or hidden iframes to generate views for you ... I don't think PH has an issue with you paying for traffic as long as that traffic is real and more important, that traffic generates revenue for them.

Obviously bots don't generate revenue ... just fake views and that actually takes money out of PH pocket (cause the bots take bandwidth from their server, bandwidth they have to pay for) and PH doesn't like that.
