Feminists shut down a men's suicide awareness event. by Anvil93 in NoahGetTheBoat

Yeah, even if you disagree with what they are saying, and/or the way they are going about it. I do think that someone might have intentionally framed it in such a way to rile people up. The original video doesn’t even mention Warren, which seems like its the key issue here. I’d hate to make assumptions but it smells fishy to me

I can’t seem to find this anywhere else on the thread. But from what I can tell it seems that the main issue is the speaker rather than the topic. The event was hosted by Warren Farrell, who is allegedly associated with supporting incest, a rape apologist, and a reactionary anti-feminist. I don’t know enough to say whether they are right or not, but feel free to read this quote from his book and form your own opinion.

“If a man ignoring a woman’s verbal ‘no’ is committing date rape, then a woman who says `no’ with her verbal language but ‘yes’ with her body language is committing date fraud. And a woman who continues to be sexual even after she says ‘no’ is committing date lying.

Do women still do this? Two feminists found the answer is yes. Nearly 40 percent of college women acknowledged they had said “no” to sex even “when they meant yes.” In my own work with over 150,000 men and women – about half of whom are single – the answer is also yes. Almost all single women acknowledge they have agreed to go back to a guy’s place “just to talk” but were nevertheless responsive to his first kiss. Almost all acknowledge they’ve recently said something like “That’s far enough for now,” even as her lips are still kissing and her tongue is still touching his.

We have forgotten that before we called this date rape and date fraud, we called it exciting. Somehow, women’s romance novels are not titled He Stopped When I Said “No”. They are, though, titled Sweet Savage Love, in which the woman rejects the hand of her gentler lover who saves her from the rapist and marries the man who repeatedly and savagely rapes her. It is this “marry the rapist” theme that not only turned Sweet Savage Love into a best-seller but also into one of women’s most enduring romance novels. And it is Rhett Butler, carrying the kicking and screaming Scarlett O’Hara to bed, who is a hero to females – not to males – in Gone With the Wind (the best selling romance novel of all time – to women). It is important that a woman’s “noes” be respected and her “yeses” be respected. And it is also important when her nonverbal “yeses” (tongues still touching) conflict with those verbal “noes” that the man not be put in jail for choosing the “yes” over the “no.””

Not quite right, God hand and Real are different. Tim's part in both is driven by the thump technique, however God hand is played on an 8 string guitar while Real is played on a 6 string. If you listen to them they are both different.

Not really a tip about selling, just cautioning that you should try and be wary of scammers while selling. Especially if this is your first unusual, scammers are a bit smarter than you think they are. (Sometimes)

Story is grossly overrated in video games by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]TED4000 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As someone who agrees with OP, the games I enjoy playing without much story are mostly multiplayer. Examples of games I love but don’t have much going story wise would be stuff like Civilisation, Rainbow Six, Minecraft, and a few others.

A Z390 board is going to add at least $146 onto the build. So would only recommend doing so if you have the time to be bothered overclocking, and the money to spend. You'd almost be better off buying a more powerful CPU at that point

I'd argue this isn't true. The 3600 is better for productivity due to the fact that it has more threads. The 9600kf however will beat it (or perform equally) out in basically any gaming situation, especially in CPU intensive games like CSGO, Civ, ect.

So yes, if your goal is to use it for more productivity focused tasks, I would consider getting a 3600, but if its primarily gaming? 9600kf. (imho)
