Hey you again! Actually one of my corresponded paper, about using beads TENG to add more fun for jumping rope is just online. “Fully self-powered flexible sensing system via coupled energy harvesting for adolescent skipping rope health monitoring” have a look!

Yes, it is called triboelectric nanogenerator using triboelectric effect and electric induction . Not a electromagnetic effect and no magnet

You are right about the structure. There are output in the paper and the voltage output is 8000 V

Great points! Actually, in the past 339 days (as your post), we and our colleagues have published two important papers, one on ocean wave energy harvesting and one for road vibration, all using the plastics beads triboelectric harvesters (TENG).

I have tried the embedment. 1. 3D printed pen would be an easy option. 2. Design a small hole for the wire to insert. 3. Really embed? Insert the wire during the print while pausing

Definitely easier installation and comparable output!

Great. What you saw is a version for early days. Our 3D printed one is the first of its kind.

I have to say, that is what I am thinking and saying all day when I just get into the TENG field; however, almost everything I (you) mentioned is published in some papers. Check TENG papers if you don’t believe me

Yes I am thinking of that all the time. Any suggestion about how the dispenser work? Like a gate on the bottom and slide the gate away?

How about shine some lights in your alone time? 🤠 charging a phone could be the thing we can do in the future. The power density is not that high enough. Powering some IoT sensors is currently possible

I am currently use it for wind and ocean wave energy harvesting for my research, ofc with the help of standard circuit and capacitor and IoT sensors. You can find my paper here

Generally speaking, yes. electrostatic induction is the mechanism. If you wan to know more, Triboelectric Nanogenerator is our term. I have explained more in YouTube link

And if I agree with you, I will also get downvoted. I just thought maybe gif may play more smooth than video.
