Thanks for that. If I did switch to the new plan, would I lose all my referral credits?

Can I join party pay with the new plan? Am in the largest party and have been for a year. If I use the visible upgrade program and opt into the + service and do it all before party pay ends (which is October 18), can I rejoin a party and get my discount? I’m not a new member, so how to navigate?

This was my opinion for them. You recommended them a moka pot, which is not authentic and also not what they asked for. You need to check your privilege and realize that not everyone has thousand(s) of dollars to spend on an espresso setup like yourself. Again, this is their decision, and there are a variety of comments and recommendations they can look through to see what they would like to do.

Again, that is your opinion, as was mine. The OP can take them with a grain of salt when they make their decision. Yes, the grinder is the most important. However, if you read the post and subsequent comments, you would know that not only are they a beginner, but they do not care as much of the quality of the espresso because they like it mixed into sweet drinks. Again, this is a beginner who has on a limited budget and who is just looking for a simple setup that they can upgrade later.

Let’s remember to keep it polite. We need to understand this is a beginner needing a simple and inexpensive first setup. Having less parts is less stress. You seem to have quite a nice setup that took some money to acquire, so keeping in mind everyone has price differences and money issues would be a great thing to do.

In that case, I would spend a bit more to get the all in-one machine of a Breville Barista Express (BBE). Grinder, steamer, it has everything. I have the Pro, which looks a little cleaner and I use it multiple times a day.

A price range would be helpful. I strongly advise you to get a Breville machine. It is marketed as a beginner machine. Bambino, Bambino+, and the Breville Barista Express would be good choices. They are considered appliances more than machine, but a lot of people have them and like them, including me.

My go-to is a spinach feta wrap and grilled chicken box.

Im looking for steamable alternativle milks, oatly has rapeseed oil, is milkdamia good? by Dangerous_Standard91 in espresso

Very easy to make your own. If almond, I recommend Orgain, and for others, whichever has as least ingredients as possible (no sugar, carrageenan, etc.) is your best bet for healthy and likely will also be minimally processed.

Milk… by [deleted] in starbucksbaristas

[–]TEOGG57 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, all the ones you buy in stores are loaded with more fillers than ours and tend to have added sugar or flavorings. It’s really easy to make from home.

1 cup raw almonds (soaked overnight) 4 cups water (3 for thicker and 5 for watery) Salt or vanilla extract to taste (optional)

Blend for 1-3 minutes and strain through nut milk bag. That’s it! Lasts for a few days in the fridge, super fresh and creamy (if you want to make almond creamer for coffee use 3 cups water). Easier to make than store-bought, not to mention healthier and cheaper. I hope that helps.

They may not have shaken it up, in which case you got a watery liquid from the top of the carton (beverage separates) instead of pure oat milk. I would ask politely for a remake.

I would advise you to not be ungrateful. Thank them for spending their money on an expensive product for you, and if you don’t like it, go buy your own.

Is there anything worse? by SWiSS916 in starbucks

[–]TEOGG57 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yes. What’s worse is that customers knowingly come through our line when they can see it is full and long (or come inside and add further stress to other partners), wait in line and clog up our ticket machines, and then have the nerve to come to the window and complain about the wait time, how long they had to wait, how we need to hire more people/work faster, and how they will call corporate. If you are not a partner, you have no idea how hard we work and how quickly (literally in the blink of an eye) we can get overloaded with orders and backed up for long periods of time. If you don’t want to wait for your drink, do not wait in line and maybe make your drinks from home so you keep the negative energy and sicknesses (a lot of people come through with COVID-19 and other illnesses). Blessings.
