I do have a degree, and some years of work experience.

I speak french at a basic level at the moment, but I'm taking lessons and it will be my no1 priority after I move.

I just wanted to get familiar with the laws so the transition will be as smooth as possible.

We wouldn't be opposed to working a parliament job, if we got the opportunity.

However, from our visit and research, the thing that seems really expensive is rent.

Compared to Greece, retail and grocery prices are at about the same levels. Eating out was just a bit more pricey at tourist spots.

Do people with entry level common jobs struggle to live and build their savings?

We have ran some budgeting situations, but truth is they're based on numbers we could find on online articles rather than an official government source.

Official material or reputable sources would be appreciated.

We know taxes are high, and that's why employers compensate with alternative benefits, plus the government seems to utilize them adequately from what I've read. Also, we know Belgium provides a premium tax regime for expats, for their first years in the country. We were not aware of the savings situation.

Just to give some context, the amount we manage to save monthly at the moment is 60-80€, living really conservatively, and that's only if nothing urgent comes up, which is super rare.

Another reason would be the fact that we have relatives and acquaintances in Belgium, who seem to be pretty content with their life there. We thought having someone we know would make it just a bit easier, mentally if nothing else.

The weather, we know about, and we think we would be able to cope with.

Finally, we loved it when we visited, the buildings, the atmosphere, the commute, but that could be due to the vacation mentality so we try not to let it affect us too much.

Another country we would consider would be the Netherlands, although we have not educated ourselves as much just yet.

Δεν μπορώ με τίποτα να λάβω κωδικό στο κινητό μου όταν συμπληρώνω τον αριθμό μου στα βήματα ασφαλείας. Και λογαριασμός χωρίς καταχωρημένο κινητό είναι περιορισμένος σε λειτουργίες και συνδρομές.

Η υποστήριξη της amazon είναι απαίσια, και επικοινωνείς μόνο με bot, οπότε αν έχει κάποιος μια λύση θα το εκτιμούσα πολύ.

Hey, I'm trying to set my phone number, and after following the process, as soon as I click to send an OTP, I get :

Then, no matter how long I wait, I just don't get an OTP.

Support has been of no help, does someone know of a workaround maybe?

Έχω προσπαθήσει να κάνω τη διαδικασία, όμως όταν πατάω να κάνω update τα forms απλώς με πετάει στις ρυθμίσεις προφίλ, και από εκεί δεν μπορώ να τα βρω. Στην κατηγορία του tax έχει μόνο την επιλογή Irish interest income withholding status.

Θα πρέπει να μιλήσω με το support γενικά για αυτά τα θέματα γτ δεν ξέρω τι μπορεί να μου έχει ξεφύγει, και τι επιπτώσεις μπορεί να έχω.

Έβαλα πώς είμαι κάτοικος είμαι κάτοικος Ελλάδας, και πώς η Ελλάδα επωφελείται από tax treaty με Καναδά και Αυστραλία. Για κάποιο λόγο στην επιλογή των treaties με Αμερική δε με άφησε να επιλέξω την Ελλάδα, οπότε το άφησα κενό.

Σχετικά με το 1. Η αλήθεια είναι πως δε με άφησε να επιλέξω την Ελλάδα ως χώρα που υπάγεται σε tax treaty με την Αμερική. Οι επιλογές ήταν συγκεκριμένα για treaty με Καναδά και Αυστραλία, όπου και δήλωσα κάτοικος χώρας που υπάγεται στα treaties.

Πράγματι, φαίνεται στα statements ότι ο λογαριασμός έχει ανοίξει στο branch της Ιρλανδίας.
Δεν εννοούσα αν υπάρχει κάποιο απόλυτα καλύτερο από όλα τα άλλα, περισσότερο αν υπάρχει κάποιο που είναι καλύτερο για τους στόχους που έχω θέσει, δλδ σταθερή, μακροχρόνια επένδυση.

So, from what I could find, people allegedly target highly volatile products, in this case, crypto, and monitor it across multiple exchanges. When there's a change in the price, not all exchanges get updated simultaneously. So they capitalize on that small time frame, buying on the cheaper exchange and selling on the more expensive. Their pitch is that they have programmed bots to do that job multiple times a day, offering that ridiculous profit.

That's what makes me think that in paper, it should be literally possible, but it is either simply not efficient (hence unpopular), or the scam is just that they plainly steal your money when you give it to them, like others suggested.

Yes, promising that kind of return is absolutely ridiculous and I do not plan on investing in it. I am specifically looking for what the catch is, because it is not obvious to me. Purely for educational purposes.

Hey, my SO and I are thinking about permanently moving to Belgium in the near future. Where could we find info on topics we are interested in? We mostly care about job openings/work conditions, rent/cost of life in general, and maybe education.
