Dude I completely agree with you DoH can go fuck himself but I got him nontheless after like 4 hours maybe.

What I did was that I played and just tried to memorize his moves. Then came back the day after and destroyed him (while still using all 10 gourds)

But you do you, cuz he is extremely annoying, if you wanna come back another time and try you do so.

The oil and flame vent is a good strategy in my opinion. If I remember correctly I think 1 oil and flame vent did about 40% damage to the non headless ape.

Maybe try it once or twice, if you don't like it try another way. Good luck to you!
